  • Patent number: 6637263
Abstract: The invention relates to a flow divider and a process for dividing a fluid flow into a number of fluid flows, in particular in analytical and/or preparative fluid measurement technology and/or in micro-fluid systems. The flow divider exhibits at least one working sensor, which is assigned to one of the fluid flows and which comprises a control unit for regulating the pressure of one of the fluid flows and/or for regulating one of the fluid flows. The control unit is coupled to the at least one working sensor and to an actuator for changing the fluid flow. At least a number of working sensors corresponding to the number of divided fluid flows is provided, whereby respectively at least one of the working sensors is assigned to one of the fluid flows and whereby the working sensors enable recording of the respective fluid flow. According to the process of the present invention the control unit regulates the fluid flows such that the ratio between at least two of the fluid flows remains substantially constant.

  • Publication number: 20020170351
Abstract: The invention relates to a flow divider (20) and a process for dividing a fluid flow (30) into a number of fluid flows (31, 32), in particular in analytical and/or preparative fluid measurement technology and/or in micro-fluid systems. The flow divider (20) exhibits at least one working sensor (41, 42), which is assigned to one of the fluid flows (31, 32) and which comprises a control unit (55) for regulating the pressure of one of the fluid flows (31, 32) and/or for regulating one of the fluid flows (31, 32), which is coupled to the or each working sensor (41, 42) and an actuator (51) for changing this fluid flow (31). At least a number of working sensors (41, 42) corresponding to the number of divided fluid flows (31, 32) is provided, whereby respectively at least one of the working sensors (41, 42) is assigned to one of the fluid flows (31, 32) and whereby the working sensors (41, 42) enable recording of the respective fluid flow (31, 32).

  • Patent number: 5892458
Abstract: An apparatus for the recognition of exchangeable parts in an analytical measuring instrument or in an analytical measurement system with several analytical devices, which contain exchangeable parts has identification modules each attached to an exchangeable part, and transmit-receive devices which can receive information signals from an identification module and send information signals to an identification module, and a control device which evaluates the information from an identification module. The control device can cause a message to be displayed on a display device, if the information read out from an identification module does not fulfill certain conditions, for example with regard to the quality of the corresponding part.
