  • Patent number: 7651080
Abstract: The invention provides a gatherer stitcher having at least one stitching station (1) for stitching sheets, the stitching station being arranged on a stitching carriage that can move in the longitudinal direction (X) of a gatherer chain during the stitching operation and at least one ejector unit being provided after the stitching station in the transport direction of the sheets in order to eject the sheets, to provide a gatherer stitcher exhibiting a higher operational reliability as compared with the prior art. According to the invention, this is achieved in that at least one acceleration and/or braking unit (4) for accelerating and/or braking the sheets in the longitudinal direction (X) toward the ejector unit is arranged between the stitching carriage and the ejector unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 10, 2005
Date of Patent: January 26, 2010
    Assignee: Hohner Maschinenbau GmbH
Inventors: Ralph Kuechler, Thomas Gerlach, Claus-Otto Hohner
  • Patent number: 7407461
Abstract: A gatherer stitcher is provided having a common drive unit driving at least two operating shafts, at least one and/or at least two different operating units, such as more particularly a gatherer chain and/or stitching station and/or a feeder and/or stitching carriage and/or ejector and/or 3-cutter, comprising two operating shafts, which permits an automated change in the phase angle between the two shafts. According to the invention, this is achieved in that an adjusting apparatus having at least one adjustment drive (4) that can be monitored is provided in order to set a phase angle at least between the two shafts.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 10, 2005
Date of Patent: August 5, 2008
    Assignee: Hohner Maschinenbau GmbH
Inventors: Michael Numberger, Dirk Droege, Thomas Gerlach, Claus-Otto Hohner

  • Patent number: 6554172
Abstract: The invention proposes a staple-forming apparatus which is intended for stapling machines for forming staples and may be designed to be smaller than priorart apparatuses. This is achieved according to the invention in that a locking bar (9) for locking a pusher in the forming apparatus during the operation of forming the staple is fitted in a moveable manner in the pusher and a fixed stop (13) for the locking bar (9) is provided on the housing (2) of the staple-forming apparatus.
