  • Patent number: 5234465
Abstract: Cellulose fibers are dyed ecologically soundly with sulfur black dyes by the pad-dyeing process by avoiding sulfides as reducing agent by replacing them by a dithionite-based mixture with at least one reducing sugar. A high color yield, a deep black shade and good reproducibility are ensured. The preferred reducing sugar is glucose.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 29, 1992
Date of Patent: August 10, 1993
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Manfred Hahnke, Ullrich Saalfrank, Claus Schuster, Joachim Steinbach, Gerd Krauzpaul
  • Patent number: 4527993
Abstract: In printing transfer papers with standard aqueous print pastes, the local swelling of the paper substance gives rise to the problem of the dimensional stability of the papers. These disadvantages are eliminated according to the invention by using as print pastes foamed dyestuff liquors in which the consistency of the foam acts as thickening agents. As a result the moisture content in the print pastes can be reduced.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 22, 1984
Date of Patent: July 9, 1985
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Claus Schuster, Horst Homuth
  • Patent number: 4422854
Abstract: Transfer printing supports impregnated or printed with a formulation containing a dyestuff of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is hydrogen or has the meaning of R.sup.1, R.sup.3 is methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, and R.sup.4 is hydrogen, methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, or containing mixtures of such dyestuffs, a process for the manufacture of these supports, which comprises impregnating or printing the support material with formulations containing a dyestuff of the formula I or mixtures of such dyestuffs, and the use of these supports for the dyeing and printing of flat web or sheet structures of synthetic or natural materials according to the heat transfer printing process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 1, 1982
Date of Patent: December 27, 1983
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Reinhard Hahnle, Manfred Schneider, Claus Schuster, Rudolf Schickfluss
  • Patent number: 4401692
Abstract: Transfer-printing supports, which are impregnated or printed with a formulation containing a mixture of a blue disperse dyestuff which sublimes readily and has the formula ##STR1## in which X is hydrogen or halogen, R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R.sup.3 denotes hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and yellow to red disperse dyestuffs which sublime readily, give deep and fast black dyeings on polyester materials and polyester mixed materials by the heat transfer-printing process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 1981
Date of Patent: August 30, 1983
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Rudolf Schickfluss, Manfred Schneider, Claus Schuster
  • Patent number: 4306874
Abstract: A sublimable monoazo dyestuff of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms is used as the dyestuff in the process for printing synthetic, hydrophobic materials, treated cellulose materials or materials containing both by transfer printing using formulations containing said sublimable monoazo dyestuff.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 1, 1980
Date of Patent: December 22, 1981
    Assignee: Cassella Aktiengesellschaft
