  • Publication number: 20070283829
Abstract: A method and apparatus for collecting operating data from machines used in the printing industry, in particular from printing presses, is disclosed. At least one machine linked to a control device, or an operating data collection device, automatically transmits data during operation of the machine to the control device, or the operating data collection device, and a time frame for operating data collection is generated automatically from the machine data such that machine activity time intervals about the operating time of the machine on the one hand and machine downtime intervals on the other hand are derived from the machine data. Reasons for downtime are automatically assigned to the established machine downtime intervals and/or can be assigned semi-automatically.

  • Patent number: 6991438
Abstract: In a piston pump for providing high-pressure fuel in a common-rail fuel injection system including a camshaft (2), which is mounted rotatably in a pump housing (1) and which has at least one eccentric cam 93) for operating a pump piston (4, 14) in an approximately radial direction with respect to the camshaft (2), in order to reduce the wear of the piston pump, a piston-rod element (6, 16, 26, 36, 46) is arranged between each pump piston (4, 14) and the eccentric cam (3) so as to transmit the stroke movement (5) and the force from the eccentric cam of the camshaft (2) to the pump piston (4, 14) by a rolling movement.

  • Patent number: 6305355
Abstract: In a control device for a high pressure injection nozzle including a housing, an actuating magnet structure disposed in the housing and including a magnetic coil, an armature movable relative to the coil, and a valve actuating bolt engaged by the armature and being spring-biased to a seated position in which the injection nozzle is closed, the armature is movably mounted on the armature bolt and a mass body is resiliently supported adjacent the armature so that, upon de-energization of the magnet coil when the armature and the spring biased bolt are released and the bolt reaches the seated position, the armature is free to continue to move for engagement with the mass body to which the mass impulse forces of the armature are transferred, whereby the mass forces generated by the bolt when being seated are reduced and the movement of the armature is damped.

  • Patent number: 6122958
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromagnetically controlled measuring apparatus for the volumetric measurement of the quantity of fuel injected by a fuel injection pump that has a displacement transducer which is surrounded by cooling chambers. The apparatus also includes a differential coil pair and a magnetically conductive core, which can be guided axially therein. The coil and the conductive core constitute part of a lifting rod connected to a measuring piston, with a coil carrier and a housing surrounding the coil carrier. The magnetically conductive core consisting of a ferritic material and being firmly surrounded by a sleeve, which forms the lifting rod, is not magnetizable and is provided with a slot extending continuously in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve.
