  • Publication number: 20200298456
Abstract: A device for machining a plate-shaped workpiece for a motor vehicle comprises a lower tool with a holding region for the workpiece, and a folding element which has a holding region for the workpiece and which is movable relative to the lower tool. The folding element (40) can change from a first state into a second state and can thereby form a first cavity between the holding region of the folding element and the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 8528392
Abstract: A device (1) and a method are provided for determining the oscillatory behavior of a brake lining (3) for a motor vehicle. The device (1) has a mounting device (2) for mounting a brake lining (3) and a securing device (6) for securing a brake disk model (7) assigned to the brake lining (3) so that the brake lining (3) can be brought to bear with the brake disk model (7) against a contact face (8). A pretensioning device (9) is coupled to the mounting device (2) and/or to the securing device (6) so that the brake lining (3) can be pressed against the brake disk model (7) with a pressure force (10, 10?) predetermined in terms of absolute value and direction. An excitation device (13, 13?) is provided for exciting oscillations of the brake disk model (7) and/or the brake lining (3).

  • Publication number: 20020117361
Abstract: A disk brake comprises a brake disk and a caliper which carries lining devices having lining surfaces, the brake disk having concave brake disk surfaces on the sides facing the lining surfaces, which brake disk surfaces interact with the convexly constructed lining surfaces. To minimize the potential for generation of noise by the disk brake, the brake disk having concave brake disk surfaces has a multi-part construction, the brake disk is provided with a groove-type recess at least on one of the two brake disk surfaces, and/or the lining devices comprise lining bodies with a high-performance lining mixture.

  • Publication number: 20020108820
Abstract: Lining devices are suitable for a disk brake having a brake disk, preferably for a motor vehicle, in which the brake disk includes concave brake disk surfaces which cooperate with concave lining surfaces of the lining devices. Each lining device has a lining body with a convex lining surface and a lining support which is constructed as a plate and which has a planar bearing surface for the lining body. For achieving a defined wearing thickness of the lining body, a device for optimizing the friction volume of the lining body is provided between the convex lining surface and the bearing surface of the lining body.

  • Patent number: 6241054
Abstract: A disk brake includes a brake disk which is surrounded by a caliper carrying lining devices. On the side of the lining device facing a brake lining surface, the brake disk has a concave brake disk surface. In order to at least partially reduce the noise emitted occurring during slow-down braking, the concavity of the brake disk surface and the convexity of the brake lining surface are constructed such that a noise-reducing form closure occurs.
