Abstract: Systems and methods are described for creating moab assemblies and applying moab assemblies to build project data. Moab assemblies can logically link materials and tasks for components used in a build project. When a model of a build project is created, an application service can retrieve the moab assemblies of components included in the build project. Using the moab assemblies, the application service can determine what materials are needed at what location and when, and also determine what tasks must be performed and when. The application service can display the tasks for the build project, and the materials needed for the tasks, in a user-friendly format. In one example, the application service can display tasks and materials by work phase of the build project.

The server can extract locations from the schedule and map activities in the schedule to their corresponding locations. The server can also map each activity to a drawing type based on the type of activity. Each drawing type can have an associated work phase, and the server can map work phases to locations based on the activity mapped to their corresponding drawing types. The server can then map each activity to a corresponding work phase at its location based on the previous mappings. The server can cause a graphical user interface to display a design schedule of the build project that includes a location breakdown structure with each location's work phases, each work phase's activities, and each work phase's drawing types.

Abstract: A system and method for designing and scheduling building construction is provided. The system includes a three dimensional design system that generates three dimensional design data using one or more elements in a spatial tree structure. One or more recipes are associated with each element, where each recipe has one or more associated method components and each method component has one or more associated resource components. A cost estimate system generates cost estimate data using the recipes, and a schedule system generates schedule data using the recipes. An estimate system applies one or more variances to one or more of the recipes, methods or resources.
