    Abstract: A tool for the repair of small dents in the sheet metal surfaces of motor vehicles uses a laser beam assembly as a pointer, instead of a mechanical pointer, and the laser beam produces a sharply focused small dot of light to precisely locate the hidden working head of the tool in exact alignment with the small dent, thereby facilitating efficient removal of the dent.
