Publication number: 20240401293Abstract: A diversion point water delivery control system with a headgate assembly, first gate, and powered actuator for controlling the first gate. A headgate box surrounds the headgate assembly and has a second gate that restricts waterflow to the diversion point. Sensors measure water levels adjacent to the headgate box and determine water flow. A powered control unit connects to the powered actuator and sensors and has a computer with memory to operate the system, as well as a transceiver for sending and receiving instructions and data. In one mode of operation, the first gate may be automatically positioned and repositioned to maintain a predetermined water flow through a diversion to a channeled waterway despite water level fluctuations in a primary waterway from which water is diverted. This helps the system conserve water by preventing overdelivery and over-diversion in water delivery networks.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 9, 2024Publication date: December 5, 2024Applicant: CJC Holdings, LLCInventors: Clayton Reed CARTER, E. Patent number: 6742297Abstract: A mechanism embodying a shock absorber, gas spring, mechanical spring or other dampening device connected between slidably connected structural components of a firearm constitutes the basis of the firearm recoil reduction mechanism claimed in this application. The slidably connected structural components may be the firearm barrel, chamber, frame, action or stock. Discharge recoil force reduction is accomplished by connecting slidably connected structural components via a dampening device such as a gas spring/shock. As the relative motion between the slidably connected components progresses, the shock absorber/dampening device is activated resulting in energy adsorption, dispersion of the recoil over a longer time period, and attenuation of the total recoil force. The net recoil force is reduced as a result of the device.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2001Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Inventors: Janos I. Lakatos, E. Clay Slade

Patent number: 6315674Abstract: An amusement ride for providing vertical movement of a passenger is disclosed. Typically, a support tower having a vertical movement mechanism defining a vertical movement path is present. The carriage is typically coupled to the movement mechanism for providing travel along the vertical movement path. Connected to the carriage is a support structure which extends radially from the carriage for supporting passenger seats. The support structure can be a wall, a rigid post, or some other structure extending outwardly from the tower. In one embodiment, the seats can be positioned along the support structure such that a first seat is closer to the carriage than a second seat. The passenger seats can be positioned to face outwardly or toward other passenger seats. Additionally, the passenger seats can be coupled to the support structure along a support structure side, above the support structure, beneath the support structure, or any combination thereof.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2000Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: Interactive Rides, Inc.Inventors: E.
