  • Patent number: 11590014
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a compression apparatus useful in treating pain, inflammation, or other conditions of a joint and joint area through use of compression and optionally temperature control. The compression apparatus is configured for physical and functional flexibility in that the apparatus is flexible and can be worn over or under clothing. The compression apparatus is generally suited for support of an ankle joint, a knee joint, a wrist joint, shoulder joint, elbow joint or hip joint depending on size, shape and securement configurations. In one embodiment, the compression apparatus comprises at least one flexible compression member and at least one securement means configured for adjustably providing compression to the joint area of a wearer. In certain embodiments, an apparatus of the present disclosure may comprise temperature-control means, decorative features, devices for visual display of treatment information such as elevation and temperature, as well as other information useful in treatment.

  • Patent number: 10680562
Abstract: A solid-state semiconductor guitar amplifier system/method mimicking the audio performance characteristics of conventional vacuum tube guitar amplifiers is disclosed. The disclosed system/method incorporates solid-state semiconductor circuitry implementing an input audio preamplifier (IAP) having asymmetric gain control (AGC) that feeds wave shape transformer (WST) circuitry implementing a piecewise/diode breakpoint (PDB) transform that emulates a conventional vacuum tube voltage-current transfer (VIT) characteristic. A breakpoint threshold controller (BTC) determines the offset associated with application of the PDB operation to the audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20200111383
Abstract: A system for training a child to develop healthy sleep hygiene, comprising a mobile indicator device and a mobile control, the device being adapted to be held, carried, grasped and stood up in the vicinity of a child, such that the child can observe a series of indicators. The indicators sequentially activate in a desired color and brightness to represent completion of intervals that cumulate in an overall period duration. The behavior of the device is controlled by inputs to a control that is in the possession of the child's parent. The appearance of the device over time provides a representation of a child's ability to feel energetic during the day and obtain restored ability to be energetic by completion of a period of sleep, before the next day.
