  • Publication number: 20180291709
Abstract: The present disclosure generally concerns the treatment of hydrocarbon-bearing formations adjacent a wellbore. In one embodiment, fracturing jobs are performed through the use of subs disposed in a casing string having profiles that interact with profiles formed on retractable keys of a tool.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 9410399
Abstract: A method of cementing a liner string into a wellbore includes deploying a liner string into a wellbore; pumping cement slurry into a workstring; and pumping a dart through the workstring, thereby driving the cement slurry into the liner string. The dart engages a first wiper plug and releases the first wiper plug from the workstring. The dart and engaged first wiper plug drive the cement slurry through the liner string and into an annulus formed between the liner string and the wellbore. The dart and engaged first wiper plug land onto a first fracture valve. The dart releases a first seat into the first wiper plug. The dart engages a second wiper plug connected to the first fracture valve and releases the second wiper plug from the first fracture valve.

  • Patent number: 9334700
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conducting a reverse flow operation. The apparatus may be lowered into a wellbore on a work string, and includes an opening device, a closing device, and a locking device disposed in a housing. Pressurized fluid supplied through the work string may actuate the opening device to open fluid flow through ports in the housing. Pressurized fluid from the annulus may be supplied through the port in the reverse flow direction to actuate the locking device to enable fluid flow up through the work string back to the surface, and to release the closing device. Pressurized fluid supplied through the work string may actuate the closing device to close fluid flow through the ports in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20150083440
Abstract: A system for treating a formation of a borehole having casing has a sleeve, a motor, and a packer. The sleeve is disposed on the casing in the borehole and has a port communicating out of the sleeve. An insert disposed in the sleeve is movable in the sleeve from closed to opened position relative to the port. The motor is deployed in the casing with coiled tubing and is operable to impart rotation. The packer is operatively coupled to the motor. In response to the rotation imparted by the motor, the packer sets in the insert of the sleeve and moves the insert to the opened condition.
