  • Publication number: 20230104994
Abstract: A leash assembly is attached to a personal device. The leash assembly includes a housing, a cord expending from the housing, and a chain extending from the cord and attached to the device. The cord is retractable into the housing and the chain is blocked from retracting into the housing. The chain may be pivotally attached to a base attached to the device by a single sided adhesive tab, or pad, or other adhesive or mechanical structure sufficient to retain the chain on the device so that the device cannot easily be accidentally removed. The device may be directly attached to the housing of the leash assembly by mechanical or magnetic features, and when the attachment is magnetic, a magnetic field disruptor may reside between the magnets and the device.

  • Patent number: 10828577
Abstract: Systems and methods for a toy rocket launch platform safety system are provided. Various embodiments include a system of switches attached to a moveable launch platform coupled to a static support structure via a pivot mechanism. The system of switches open when the moveable launch platform is not level to the ground or aligned along the central axis of the static support structure. When the system of switches is open, a toy rocket launch cannot occur. Some embodiments include a launch guidance system attached to the launch platform. A toy rocket is coupled to the launch guidance structure in such a way that the toy rocket assumes a trajectory dictated by the launch guidance structure. The launch guidance structure may be collapsible and when fully extended, achieves a height greater than that of the average adult.

  • Patent number: 10500517
Abstract: A self-righting flier includes a battery residing at a rounded bottom of a flier body, propellor blades and louvers below the propellor blades. The louvers include rounded projections extending down of bottom most corners. The bottom location of the battery and the louvers provide the self-righting of the flier. The flier further includes a top most guard preventing or reducing damage from ceiling impacts.

  • Publication number: 20160180701
Abstract: A user-interface module co-operates with a processor/transmitter to form a control system that can remotely control a moving object in response to human hand gestures. The module includes at least one emitter element radiating energy and at least one sensor element monitoring energy reflected from a hand intercepting a portion of the radiated energy and gesturing in a manner to indicate desired control. The module sends a detected energy signal to at least one input channel of an RC processor/transmitter controlling the moving object. With a toy helicopter as the moving object, a single-channel module can enable RC of rotor speed and thus vertical travel and altitude proportional to hand height, enabling takeoff, hovering and landing. Additional RC channels can be incorporated in a module for gesture RC of additional functions including horizontal travel and steering.

  • Patent number: 7362234
Abstract: A control system which provides directional control over various real and virtual vehicles, craft and moveable subjects. The control system includes a housing, a controller in the housing having an electronic radio control PC board or an electronic video control PC board and tilt switches which are fixed relative to the housing at preferred orientations. The switches are connected to control terminals of the electronic control PC board. With the tilt switches fixed relative to the housing, orientation of the housing can result in the electronic control PC board transmitting signals to a remote vehicle, craft or virtual subject. Rather than tilt switches, the control system can include pots having shafts orthogonally arranged relative to the housing. The pots are connected to control terminals of the electronic control PC board. Pendulums are fixed to the shafts of the pots.

  • Patent number: 7273195
Abstract: A vertical lift craft includes a vertical lift craft, a powered rotor system including two counter-rotating lift rotors rotatably mounted to the body and a cage fixed to the body and extending about the powered rotor system, the cage including flexible rods extending in an open mesh pattern and mutually attached at a plurality of intersections between the flexible rods and netting extending between the flexible rods to cover the cage. The mesh pattern includes latitudinally and longitudinally extending flexible rods and the cage further includes elastomeric bumpers at the plurality of intersections between flexible rods. A base has axles fixed relative to the body and wheels on the axles.

  • Patent number: 5407113
Abstract: An over the head hands-free phone holder comprising of an elongated strap with first and second ends each having a first adhesive fastener connected thereto, and second adhesive fasteners connected to the first and second ends of a telephone and/or phone receiver wherein the first adhesive fasteners respectfully mate with the second adhesive fasteners to secure the telephone about the head of the individual in a hands free relation. The adhesive fasteners are of hook and loop formation. The strap consists of a large oval hole conformed to fit over the rear, top portion of the head of an individual and a small oval hole which facilitates two modes of attatchment to the telephone receiver. The phone holder strap is also fully adjustable to a variety of head sizes, and for use on the left or right ear of an individual, and adaptable for use on a variety of telephones and/or phone receivers.
