  • Publication number: 20240161059
Abstract: An enterprise inventory management system, and methods of use thereof, utilizing novel functionalities. The system includes a centralized global inventory database subsystem for cataloging a plurality of inventory items from a plurality of remote physical locations, each of the items identified by at least a unique identification code; and, a plurality of localized radio frequency identification (RFID) interrogator subsystems associated with a corresponding plurality of remote physical locations, wherein each of the localized RF interrogator subsystems is operative to read RFID tags associated with ones of the plurality of inventory items located at its associated physical location, wherein each of the RFID tags is programmed with at least a unique identification code for its associated item.

  • Publication number: 20060187544
Abstract: A projection screen is constructed of an open mesh fabric central portion for imaging a projected image, a sturdier border, and hanging hardware at each of the corners of the border. The central portion is constructed of a knit of multiple synthetic fibers twisted together and provides a screen with high diffusion. The open mesh provides substantial transparency to the screen when no image is being projected onto the screen permitting the screen to be used in a manner in which it will not act as a significant visual barrier when installed but not in use. The screen is mounted with hanging hardware that pulls the border and central portion taut. The screen when installed and taut has high diffusion and permits both front and rear projection with substantially equal brightness at both sides of the screen.

  • Publication number: 20050175207
Abstract: A speaker system includes a speaker driver loaded by a horn waveguide. The speaker driver reproduces sound within an extended frequency range that includes a high frequency band between 8 kHz and 11 kHz. In the preferred embodiment, the extended frequency range includes a wide frequency band between 2 kHz and 11 kHz (and most preferably including the frequency band between 800 Hz and 11 kHz). The horn waveguide has an axi-symmetrical waveguide surface that provides uniform polar dispersion at dispersion angles greater than 90 degrees for sound within the extended frequency range. The waveguide surface preferably has an annular cross section with a radial dimension that increases curvilinearly from its throat to its mouth, such as a tractroid surface.

  • Publication number: 20050175208
Abstract: An audio speaker system employs an annular gasket that separates the sound reproducing membrane of a speaker driver with a horn waveguide. The annular gasket is disposed in an area outside of and adjacent to the throat of the horn waveguide. The annular gasket is preferably realized from closed cell foam or other compliant acoustically-absorbable material. The gasket minimizes the volume of the compression chamber that the sound reproducing membrane is compressing, thus leading to less frequency cancellation (which leads to improved frequency response of the speaker driver).
