  • Patent number: 8275809
Abstract: Several tools are included in an object processing system that also includes a common object model containing a data structure and an administrative program for the data structure. The tools have read access and optionally also write access to partial areas of the data structure via the administrative program. The partial areas can be different from one another and can contain mutually corresponding information. The administrative program optionally updates the other partial areas by compulsion, during write access approaches by a tool.

  • Patent number: 8135957
Abstract: The invention includes a control system and a method for access control of an application system, with electrically measurable data acquired as the result of a biometric reaction of a user, the biometric reaction triggered by stimulatory information presented to the user. An acquisition means for acquiring the electrically measurable data, a provision means for providing reference data and a comparison means for comparing the data are provided in the control system. The reference data is provided relating to the stimulatory information and/or the acquired, electrically measurable data. The acquired measurable data is compared with the provided reference data by means of the comparison means. An authorization of the user to the application system takes place on the basis of the comparison results. By means of this control system it is possible to dynamically authorize and identify a user with absolute reliability and to unambiguously authenticate said user.

  • Patent number: 7917891
Abstract: A method, computer program and a system for automatically generating entity templates when copying at least one software element are provided. In the method, upon receiving a request to copy a selected element, such as a group of elements in a graphics program, a common entity template is automatically created for the element if it is not currently linked to an entity template or is only linked to a non-modifiable template, such that when modifications are made to the entity template, the modifications are also made to the originally selected element and all copies thereof, simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 7752025
Abstract: A device and a method for identifying parameters of at least one field device used in automation technology are provided. To simplify the assignment of parameters to field devices in automated systems, the behavior of the field device is monitored and operating information that describes the field device behavior is recorded. The operating information is stored in a first memory area, a manufacturer-independent field device model is stored in a second memory area and model parameters belonging to the manufacturer-independent field device model are identified on the basis of the operating information with the aid of a processing unit.
