  • Patent number: 6512809
Abstract: A detector for a computed tomography apparatus has a number of photodiodes arranged in row form on a printed circuit board, wherein the photodiodes are in each case formed from a substrate and an optically active region provided at the top side of the substrate and a scintillator is applied on the optically active region, and wherein an electrical connection of the optically active region, which connection extends to an underside of the substrate, is opposite a first contact arranged on the top side of the printed circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20020131548
Abstract: The invention relates to a detector for computer tomographs, comprising a plurality of photodiodes (1) disposed in lines on a printed circuit board (3). Said photodrodes (1) are each composed of a substrate (4) and an optically active region provided on the upper side (OP) of said substrate (4). A scintillator (9) is disposed on the optically active region (5) and an electrical connection of the optically active region (5) extending towards the lower side of the substrate (4) is opposite a first contact (12) disposed on the upper side (OS) of the printed circuit board (3).

  • Patent number: 6400793
Abstract: A detector for an X-ray computed tomography apparatus has a number of detector elements separated from one another be septa forming a detector line.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 20, 2001
Date of Patent: June 4, 2002
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Clemens Doubrava, Thomas Von Der Haar
  • Patent number: 6343109
Abstract: A CT (computed tomography) apparatus has a detector system which produces an x-ray beam that rotates around a system axis, and which produces data representing attenuation of the x-rays by an examination subject, and a data transmission path for the transmission of data from the detector system to an image reconstruction computer that is stationary relative to the detector system. Data required for a live image are extracted from the data supplied by the detector system during the scanning of a subject under examination, and are transmitted during the scanning to the image reconstruction computer via the data transmission path and after completion of the scanning, all data supplied by the detector system during the scanning are transmitted to the image reconstruction computer.
