  • Patent number: 8869526
Abstract: An exhaust-gas turbocharger (1) having a wastegate arrangement (5) in which the structural adaptability to different installation situations and the sealing action of the wastegate arrangement (5) are improved. The rotor (4) extends along a charger axis (L). The wastegate arrangement (5) has a control capsule (6), a regulating rod (7) which can be moved by the control capsule (6), a lever (8) which is connected to the regulating rod (7) by means of a guide piece (9), and a spindle shaft (10) which is connected at one end to the lever (8) and at the other end to a spindle (11) which bears a flap plate (12) for opening and closing a bypass opening (13). Here, the spindle shaft (10) is arranged substantially parallel to the charger axis (L).

  • Patent number: 7344361
Abstract: A variable-capacity vane pump comprising a body (1) comprising a cavity (2) in which a mobile ring (3) can move, inside which a hub (4) is located which is rotatable around a fixed axis (R) and equipped with vanes (5) which during rotation are supported against an inner face of the mobile ring (3), displacing structure for moving the mobile ring (3) as a function of a control pressure between a position centered on the axis of rotation of the hub (4) and an extreme eccentric position with respect to the axis of rotation of the hub (4). According to the invention, the displacing structure of the mobile ring (3) comprise a recess (10) provided in the wall of the cavity (2) of the body (1), and a projection (9) formed on the outer face of the mobile ring (3) and designed to slide in the recess (10) of the cavity (2) of the body (1) so as to form a control chamber in which the control pressure is applied.

  • Patent number: 7144234
Abstract: The invention concerns a gear pump comprising a pump body (2) closed with a cover (3) forming a cavity wherein is provided a drive pinion (4) capable of being driven in rotation by a drive shaft (1) whereto it is fixed, a driven pinion (5) whereof the teeth co-operate with the drive pinion (4) teeth so as to be driven in rotation thereby and two end shields (8) arranged on either side of the driven pinion (5) penetrating into a cavity (10) provided therefor in the pump body (2) and the cover (3) respectively, means being provided for exerting pressure on the outer surface of the end shields. In order to prevent the cover from being deformed under the effect of the pressure thereby creating a leakage zone between the delivery zone and the suction zone, the end shields each consist of a disc (8) integral with one end of the driven pinion (5), the discs (8) and the driven pinion (5) being concentric, the discs (8) covering the teeth of the driven pinion (5).

  • Publication number: 20040265147
Abstract: The invention concerns a gear pump with a pump body closed with a cover forming a cavity in which is provided a drive pinion, a driven pinion whose teeth cooperate with the drive pinion teeth, and two end shields arranged on either side of the driven pinion penetrating into a cavity provided in the pump body and the cover respectively, pressure being exerted on the outer surface of the end shields. The end shields each consist of a disc integral with one end of the driven pinion, the discs and the driven pinion being concentric, the discs covering the teeth of the driven pinion. The pressure exerted on the outer surface of the discs prevents them from being deformed such that practically no axial leakage zone is formed. Additionally, the discs can serve as guiding axis for the rotation of the driven pinion.
