  • Patent number: 11643579
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising: at least one phosphate salt chosen from sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate and mixtures of these phosphates; and at least one resin based on: at least one compound A1, compound A1 being chosen from a compound A11 comprising at least two functions, one of these functions being a hydroxymethyl function and the other being an aldehyde function or a hydroxymethyl function, or a compound A12 comprising at least one aldehyde function, or a mixture of a compound A11 and of a compound A12; and at least one phenol A21.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 2018
Date of Patent: May 9, 2023
Assignee: COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN
    Inventors: Clement Michoud, David Doisneau
  • Patent number: 11624122
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for electroplating an adhesive composition onto at least one conductive element, in which the conductive element is placed in contact with the adhesive composition comprising: a phosphate salt and a resin based on: a compound A1, compound A1 being chosen from a compound A11 comprising at least two functions, one of these functions being a hydroxymethyl function and the other being an aldehyde function or a hydroxymethyl function, or a compound A12 comprising at least one aldehyde function, or a mixture of a compound A11 and of a compound A12; and a phenol A21. A potential difference is applied between the conductive element and the adhesive composition to coat the conductive element with an adhesive layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 2018
Date of Patent: April 11, 2023
Assignee: COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN
Inventors: Clement Michoud, David Doisneau, Mickael Rouby
  • Patent number: 11268000
Abstract: An aqueous adhesive composition comprises a thermosetting resin based on: at least one aromatic compound bearing at least two functions, one of these functions being a hydroxymethyl function and the other being an aldehyde function or a hydroxymethyl function, the aromatic compound comprising at least one aromatic ring; and at least aromatic polyphenol comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two hydroxyl functions in the meta position relative to one another, the two positions ortho to at least one of the hydroxyl functions being unsubstituted. Such an adhesive composition may especially be used to join elements made of wood; it constitutes an advantageous alternative to the use of a formaldehyde-based phenolic resin adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20160251550
Abstract: The aqueous adhesive composition comprises an unsaturated elastomer latex and a phenol/aldehyde resin based on an aldehyde of formula (I): in which X comprises N, S or O and R represents —CHO, and based on a polyphenol comprising one or more aromatic nucleus/nuclei. When there is just one aromatic nucleus, the latter bears two or three hydroxyl functional groups in the meta position with respect to each other, the remainder of the aromatic nucleus being unsubstituted. When there are several aromatic nuclei, at least two of them each bear two or three hydroxyl functional groups in the meta position with respect to each other, the two positions ortho to at least one of these hydroxyl functional groups being unsubstituted.
