  • Patent number: 6216355
Abstract: The combination saw guide and gauge permits the use of a powered saw such as a circular, jig, or reciprocating saw to make cuts with precision presently requiring a table saw with a circular saw blade. The combination saw guide and gauge comprises a scale with at least one uppeer jaw that, in combination with at least one screw, serves to clamp the device to the base of the powered saw. The scale comprises a base, gradations, and at least one clearance into which a guide member can be inserted. The at least one clearance can be an aperture, a slot, or a groove. The gradations serve as a means of measurement. A purpose served by said means of measurement is enabling setting a width of material to be cut. The device is clampable onto a powered saw base such as is common to, but not restricted to, a circular, jib, or reciprocating saw. An optional guide flange on the scale permits a sawer to grasp and help guide the scale.

  • Patent number: 6101799
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a frame subassembly, an actuator, a cable, rollers and a flexible hinge. The rollers include two rollers located at the outer edges of, and perpendicular to, the frame subassembly and two rollers located in and parallel to the plane of the frame subassembly located adjacent to the flexible hinge which is located in the center of the frame subassembly. When the actuator is actuated, the frame subassembly folds about the flexible hinge.

  • Patent number: 5440868
Abstract: A foldable rake implement includes an elongated handle having a proximal end to be grasped by the user and a distal end. An articulated frame structure is attached to the handle at the distal end. The articulated frame structure includes a central axis of articulation dividing the frame structure into two mirror-image first and second frame halves. The axis of articulation is coaxial with the handle and defines an axis about which the articulated frame structure moves between an unfolded position whereat the first and second frame halves of the frame structure symmetrically project outwardly to opposite lateral sides of the handle and a folded position whereat the first and second frame halves are moved toward each other and into generally mutual overlaying relationship.

  • Patent number: 5414982
Abstract: A foldable rake implement (commonly referred to as a garden or lawn rake) suitable for smoothing the ground or gathering debris, such as leaves and grass clippings from the ground. The rake includes an elongated, preferably cylindrical, rod handle having a proximal end to be grasped by the user and a distal end. An articulated frame structure is attached to the rod handle proximate the distal end. The articulated frame has axes of articulation defining folding axes parallel to the rake rod handle about which the articulated frame articulates or moves between an unfolded position whereat the opposite sides of the articulated frame symmetrically project outwardly to opposite lateral sides of the rod handle and a folded position whereat the opposite sides of the articulated frame are moved toward each other and into generally mutual overlaying relationship. A plurality of spaced-apart tines are mounted to the articulated frame.

  • Patent number: 5410764
Abstract: A bathtub which, when installed in a bathroom, is selectively tiltable between a horizontal position and a tilted position for ease in getting into and out of the bathtub. The tiltable bathtub can be positioned in a conventional bathtub bay of a bathroom without significant modification to the bathtub bay.
