  • Publication number: 20110030963
Abstract: A system for distributing fluid to a plurality of wellbores drilled from a common pad includes at least two fluid conduits extending between the wellbores. The fluid conduits are configured to couple at one end to a fluid pump. At least one remotely operable valve is hydraulically connected to each fluid conduit proximate each wellbore. At least one flow line hydraulically connects each remotely operable valve to each wellbore such that fluid moved through the flow line enters the wellbore. A control unit is disposed proximate the pad and is configured to operate the remotely operable valves.

  • Publication number: 20060032682
Abstract: A skateboard includes a motorized drive assembly and a motorized brake assembly, both operable with a wireless remote control to be carried by a rider. The drive assembly is free-wheeling permitting normal use of the skateboard in the event of battery depletion. The brake system includes a motor operable through a simple machine structure to move a brake pad against a brake disk mounted against a wheel. A self-adjustment mechanism presets the brake pad a predetermined distance from the disk prior to brake application. Motor enertia is relied on to store potential energy in a wheel axel in accordance with an associated method of operation.

  • Patent number: 6361512
Abstract: A massaging apparatus which utilizes an array of air inflatable bladders. The array is to be located in conjunction with a portion of the body of a human. The array can be mounted within a housing such as a flexible belt-type of device or can comprise a rigid stand-type of device within which is incorporated one or more pockets in order to accommodate a human appendage such as a foot. A separate inflation apparatus is associated with the array which is to supply and extract pressurized air to and from the inflatable bladders. The inflation apparatus utilizes at least one opposed piston assembly so that when one piston is supplying pressurized air to certain bladders the other piston is extracting pressurized air from certain other bladders thereby achieving a sequence of alternating pressurizing and depressurizing which produces a desirable massaging effect on the human body.

  • Patent number: 6019341
Abstract: A tree stand for receiving and supporting a tree, such as a live, cut Christmas tree, comprises a receptacle for receiving the trunk of the tree and a base for supporting the receptacle when the tree is received therein. The receptacle includes a clamping assembly for securing the trunk of the tree in the receptacle, while the base includes a locking assembly for locking the tree in place once it is moved to the desired vertical position. An actuator such as a foot pedal is provided for operating the locking assembly so that the user can position the tree by hand while standing on his feet with the foot pedal depressed and then lock the tree in place simply by releasing the pedal.

  • Patent number: 5234132
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing a cosmetic or the like from a container having a pump with an operating stem with a free end extending above the container, through which material is dispensed from the container by movement of the stem, is formed of a shroud member and an actuator. The shroud member is mounted on the container with the operating stem extending into its tubular outer wall and the actuator is mounted in the shroud with a cylindrical outer surface in slidable engagement with the inner surface of the shroud tubular outer wall and engageable with the operating stem to pump material from the container through a conduit in the actuator to an outlet disposed above an inwardly extending recess in the shroud member tubular outer wall.

  • Patent number: 5020624
Abstract: A modular power drive scooter, including as modular components a seat, a seat post, a mainframe, a trailer and at least one battery, is built in a manner allowing quick and easy disassembly of the scooter for compact storage. In assembled form, the seat post supports the seat and also serves as a lock pin which prevents separation of the mainframe from the trailer. The mainframe includes a front wheel, a tiller assembly for steering the scooter, and recesses for accommodating one or more batteries. The trailer includes a pair of rear wheels coupled to a differential which is driven by an electric motor, and a removable storage tray that provides access to the motor. A stem member extending from the trailer engages the mainframe in an overlapping relation whereby apertures in the stem member align with ports in the mainframe. The seat post is inserted into a selected port to determine the spacing of the seat from the tiller assembly.

  • Patent number: 4827550
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is provided for transmitting powered motion to an operating member having a removable head mechanism contained within a hollow housing. A motorized base, including a base drive shaft, is locked onto a head drive shaft of the removable head mechanism in response to axial movement of the base drive shaft into the housing. The head mechanism comprises a collet having outwardly radiating arms and inwardly extending feet at the lower end of the collet and a rack at the upper end. The rack engages rotatable gears containing tufts of filaments. The base drive shaft defines a shoulder and a tip at the upper end which is received into the collet. A sleeve, retained within the head mechanism by the inner dimensions of the hollow housing, receives the outwardly radiating arms and compresses them over the tip of the base causing the feet to engage the shoulder.
