Abstract: A method of posting a payment from a payor comprises creating a payment record, identifying a set of charges to which the payment is applied to, comparing the set of charges to the payment record, and creating an exception record based on the payment record and the set of charges. Once a payment is posted a user is presented with an option to write-off the exception record. Alternatively, a user may also alter a set of charges applied to the account based on the exception record.

Abstract: A system and method for multi-staged management of batch processed invoicing assigns a status to discrete units in these batches and uses such status of the discrete units in these batches to perform a number of operations on the batch. Thus, processing a first batch of records having a first number of records comprises performing a first operation on a first portion of the first batch, assigning a first status to the first portion of the first batch, creating a second batch containing the first portion of the first batch with a first status, returning a first portion of the second batch to the first batch, performing a second operation on a second portion of the second batch, assigning a second status to the second portion of the second batch, creating a third batch containing the second portion of the second batch with the second status, and returning a first portion of the third batch to the second batch.

Abstract: In accordance with the invention, a patient-centered integrated health care record is provided including information related to health care delivery for a patient, and information related to health care delivery management for the patient. The integrated health care record may be used with a health care system to facilitate management of and to provide health care for patients. The health care delivery information and the health care delivery management information for patients may be stored within the UPR as patient records, with one patient record per patient. The information may be stored as formatted data, links to formatted data, or as selections from a list. In one embodiment, audit functionality is provided, where contact with data records is recorded as an audit trail. In another embodiment, security functionality is provided, controlling access to the integrated health care record. In another embodiment, a lock manager is provided, controlling write access to the integrated health care record.
