  • Patent number: 6710159
Abstract: A process for producing a polyamide or copolyamide freed from volatile constituents by removing the volatile constituents, in particular the monomers and dimers, in at least two stages from the polymer melt by using an, in particular, gaseous entrainer is described. The invention also relates to polyamide compositions made of polyamide 6 or a copolyamide with a reduced volatile constituent content, as well as moulding compositions made of the above-mentioned polyamides, and moulded articles and fibers which are produced from these moulding compositions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 26, 2002
Date of Patent: March 23, 2004
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Heinrich Morhenn, Dieter Göbbels, Cliff Scherer, Frank Weyrich, Konrad Triebeneck, Klemens Kohlgrüber

  • Patent number: 6566486
Abstract: A process for the production of polyamides is disclosed. In a first reaction step, suitable monomers such as caprolactam or an aliphatic aminocarboxylic acid are reacted with polyfunctional amines, which contain at least one secondary amino group, and/or with salts containing such amines and dicarboxylic acids. The reaction product is in a further process step undergoes solid phase post-condensation.

  • Publication number: 20020193478
Abstract: A thermoplastic molding composition suitable for making transparent films is disclosed. The composition contains A) a (co)polyamide-6 containing at least 80 wt. % caprolactam units and B) a mixture containing a)an inorganic nucleating agent, b) a glycol ester of a C4-C20 fatty acid and a polyglycol conforming to (CH2CH2O)n, where n>1, and c) an amide derivative of C4-C20 fatty acid and an amine component selected from the group consisting of C2-C12 aliphatic monoamine and C2-C6 aliphatic diamine.

  • Patent number: 5925490
Abstract: In a multilayer recording element which is suitable for producing flexographic printing plates by digital information transfer and has, arranged one on top of the other on a dimensionally stable substrate, a layer (A) which is crosslinkable by actinic radiation, a layer (B) sensitive to actinic radiation and, if required, a peelable cover sheet, the layer (A) crosslinkable by actinic radiation is crosslinked by imagewise exposure to actinic radiation of from 0.5 to 5 J/cm.sup.2 and can then be washed out by a developer and essentially comprises a mixture of at least one elastomeric binder, ethylenically unsaturated copolymerizable organic compounds, photoinitiator, and, if required, further assistants, and the layer (B) sensitive to actinic radiation is a layer which is soluble or dispersible in developers and has an optical density of >2.
