  • Publication number: 20220055108
Abstract: A method for producing a machining segment for a machining tool, where the machining segment is connectable to a basic body of the machining tool by an underside of the machining segment, includes producing a green body by placing first hard material particles in a first matrix material in a defined particle pattern and processing the green body by hot pressing under temperature and pressure between a first press punch, which forms the underside, and a second press punch, which forms an upper side of the machining segment, to form the machining segment, where the upper side is opposite from the underside. The second press punch has depressions in a pressing surface and an arrangement of the depressions corresponds to the defined particle pattern of the first hard material particles.

  • Publication number: 20220055109
Abstract: A method for producing a machining segment for a machining tool includes producing a green body by placing first hard material particles in respective depressions of a first press punch and applying a first matrix material to the placed first hard material particles. The green body is compacted by pressure between the first press punch, which forms an upper side of the machining segment, and a second press punch, which forms an underside of the machining segment, to form a compact body. The compact body is processed by temperature or by infiltration to produce the machining segment.

  • Publication number: 20220055183
Abstract: A machining segment for a machining tool which is rotatable in a direction of rotation about an axis of rotation includes an underside where the machining segment is connectable to a basic body of the machining tool by the underside. A machining zone has a matrix material and a plurality of first hard material particles where the plurality of first hard material particles are disposed in the matrix material in accordance with a defined particle pattern. Each of the plurality of first hard material particles has a respective projection in relation to the matrix material on an upper side of the machining segment. The projection of at least one of the plurality of first hard material particles is greater than 400 ?m.

The machining segment has a machining zone of a matrix material and a plurality of first hard material particles that are disposed in the matrix material in accordance with a defined particle pattern. An upper side of the machining segment, opposite from the underside, is divided into a plurality of machining regions, which include respective ones of the plurality of first hard material particles, and a plurality of matrix regions which are built up from the matrix material. At least one of the plurality of machining regions has with respect to an adjacent matrix region a projection that is greater than 400 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20160303655
Abstract: A method for producing a green compact from a powdered or granular material is disclosed. An embodiment of the method includes moving a fill shoe, which is filled with powdered or granular material, by an adjusting device from a first park position to a first end position. The fill shoe is moved from the first end position to a second end position over a construction chamber and the construction chamber is filled with the powdered or granular material in the fill shoe in a layer. The fill shoe is moved from the second end position to a second park position after filling the construction chamber with the layer, where the second park position is different from the first park position.

  • Patent number: 9399255
Abstract: A device and method for producing a green compact from a powdered or granular material by successive application and compression of the material, is disclosed. The device includes a fill shoe, which is filled with the material and is adjustable by an adjusting device, where a first park position is provided for the fill shoe. A matrix having at least one construction chamber is filled with the material layer-by-layer by the fill shoe between a first and second end position. A press having a lower punch and an upper punch, which are adjustable by a height adjustment device, compresses the material applied layer-by-layer in the at least one construction chamber. After filling the construction chamber with the material, the fill shoe is moved out of the second end position into a second park position, where the second park position is different from the first park position.
