    Abstract: An apparatus and method for conditioning fluid in a flow line. A magnet is placed around a section of the flow line such that one pole, having a desired polarity, is facing the flow line. A magnetically conductive diverter band is placed around the outside of the magnet to form a loop around the magnet and thereby increase the strength of the field from the desired polarity in said flow line.
