  • Patent number: 7801287
Abstract: A system for generating number tones for dialing a telephone device comprising a socket assembly and at least one dialer module. The socket assembly defines at least one socket, where the socket is electrically connected to the telephone device. The at least one dialer module comprises a first memory device for storing a sequence of numbers, a first data entry device and a plug electrically connected to the first memory device. The plug engages the socket to electrically connect the first memory device to the socket assembly. Operation of the first data entry device causes the generation of an electrical DTMF signal based on the sequence of numbers stored by the memory device. The electrical DTMF signal is transmitted to the telephone device.

  • Patent number: 7760100
Abstract: A button assembly for exchanging data comprising a button housing assembly, a circuit board, a switch element, and an actuator member. The circuit board is arranged within the button housing assembly. The circuit board stores data. The switch element is mounted on the circuit board. The actuator member is supported on the button housing assembly. Application of a force to the actuator member causes the actuator member to engage the switch element and form an antenna circuit. The data on the circuit board can be downloaded when the antenna circuit is formed.

  • Patent number: 7567780
Abstract: A data exchange system that exchanges data with a host device comprising controller and a host housing comprises at least one button assembly and a button reader system. The at least one button assembly comprises an encoder for storing data, a button coil, and a switch. Closing the switch forms an antenna circuit. The button reader system comprises a decoder and at least one reader coil defining at least one button position on the host housing. When the at least one button assembly is arranged at the at least one button position, the controller of the host device causes the decoder to obtain data from the encoder through the button coil and the reader coil when the switch is closed.

  • Patent number: 6961425
Abstract: A system for generating number tones for dialing a telephone device. The system comprises a socket assembly, at least one button assembly, and a converter. The socket assembly defines at least one socket. Each button assembly comprises a memory device for storing a sequence of numbers and a switch device. The converter generates a DTMF signal comprising a sequence of DTMF tones. Operation of the switch device causes the converter to generate the DTMF signal based on the sequence of numbers stored by the memory device. The socket assembly electrically connects the converter to the telephone device.

  • Patent number: 6940974
Abstract: A system for generating number tones for dialing a telephone device comprising a microphone. The system comprises a housing, a first data entry device, first and second memory devices, an output signal generator, and a transducer. The housing defines a sound opening. The first data entry device is supported by the housing and is associated with a first sequence of stored digits. The first memory device stores the first sequence of stored digits. The second memory device stores frequency data associated with number tones. The output signal generator generates, upon activation of the first data entry device, an output signal based on the first sequence of stored digits and the frequency data. The transducer is mounted within the housing adjacent to the sound opening and converts the output signal into an audible signal. The housing is adapted to be attached to the telephone device with the sound opening adjacent to the microphone.
