  • Patent number: 11680795
Abstract: The grade-leveling tool is a measurement device. The grade-leveling tool forms a vertical barometer. The grade-leveling tool measures the difference between: a) a desired elevation from the ground at a specific location; and, b) the existing elevation of the ground. The grade-leveling tool is used to create a bed of level ground used for supporting a structure. The grade-leveling tool comprises a base structure, a reservoir structure, and a hose structure. The hose structure and the reservoir structure attach to the base structure. A fluidic connection is formed between the reservoir structure and the hose structure. The base structure elevates the reservoir structure and the hose structure above the ground.

  • Publication number: 20190272416
Abstract: A method for delivering digital information to an image acquired endpoint with minimal time and effort used during the capturing and transferring phase of the process by way of an electronic mobile device. An image is acquired and processed with character recognition software. The derived information is tested against common patterns, categorized, and displayed to the user. On confirmation from the user, prestored information is then sent back to the endpoint acquired from the image scanned. All derived information is then forwarded to a database for future use. As a result, the process of sharing and capturing of data by a user is improved in speed of use, accuracy, and options for data manipulation Other embodiments are described as shown.

  • Publication number: 20070214797
Abstract: A method for monitoring combustion dynamics of a can annular combustor (12) of a gas turbine engine includes monitoring respective dynamic operating conditions of cans (16) of the can annular combustor with respective dynamic operating condition sensors (20) associated with each of the cans. The method also includes grouping the cans into two or more groups according to their respective dynamic operating conditions and identifying a sensor providing an anomalous dynamic operating condition reading for at least one of the cans. The method further includes determining a need to service the identified sensor according to the associated can's group membership.

  • Publication number: 20070169992
Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed to an acoustic resonator with improved impingement cooling effectiveness. The resonator includes a plate with an inside face and an outside face. A plurality of passages extend through the plate. The resonator includes a side wall that extends from and about the plate. A plurality of cooling tubes are attached to the resonator plate such that an inner passage of each cooling tube is in fluid communication with a respective passage in the resonator plate. The resonator can be secured to a surface of a turbine engine combustor component to define a closed cavity. The ends of the cooling tubes are spaced from the surface. Thus, a coolant can enter the passages in the plate and can be directed to the surface so as to impingement cool the surface. The cooling tubes can minimize coolant loss by dispersion in the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20010043172
Abstract: A method for forming images on a display having a matrix of rows and columns of pixels is provided. Such method comprises the steps of: successively addressing the rows of pixels, each one of the rows of pixels being addressed for a predetermined addressing period of time. During each predetermined addressing period of time, a voltage level is applied to each one of the columns of pixels for a time duration in accordance with image intensity data and changing to a different voltage level during the remaining period of the addressing period of time. The voltage level changes only once during each predetermined addressing period of time. The anode of the display is coupled to a power supply adapted to couple either a relatively high voltage to the anode when such display is to operate in a relatively bright environment or a relatively low voltage when such display is to operate with relatively dim environment. The images are characterized by a gray scale level at each one of the pixels.
