  • Patent number: 9978074
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to an automated A/B testing system using a combination of classical and alternative statistical analysis to control the performance A/B tests. An apparatus includes a processor circuit; and logic to commence collection of a specified number of samples of user responses to multiple versions of a user interface in a test, employ an alternative statistical analysis to analyze the samples as they are collected, determine whether a proposed version elicits a statistically significant improvement in user response over a control version, terminate the test before the specified number of samples are collected in response to a statistically significant improvement over the control version elicited by the proposed version, and complete collection of the specified number of samples and employ a classical statistical analysis to analyze the samples in response to the proposed version not eliciting the statistically significant improvement.

  • Publication number: 20160350680
Abstract: A method of ticket assessment includes accessing historical transaction information and prices for available tickets for an upcoming event. The method includes calculating a historical ticket value for seats at a venue and a current ticket value and a deal score for the available tickets. The method includes receiving a preference that pertains to a ticket for the upcoming event. The method includes determining whether the available tickets include characteristics within the preference. If a first subset of the available tickets includes characteristics within the preference, the method includes communicating to the user device recommendation data including ticket listings for tickets in the first subset. The recommendation data is configurable in a window of a graphical user interface. If a second subset of the available tickets does not include characteristics within the preference, the method includes filtering the second subset of the available tickets from the recommendation data.

  • Patent number: 9026518
Abstract: Systems and methods for clustering content according to similarity are provided that identify and group similar content using a set of tags associated with the content. A topic model of a group of content is built, producing a probability distribution of topic membership for the content. Individual items of content are then clustered using a clustering algorithm, and a distance matrix from the probability distribution is built. Based on the distance matrix, individual items of content are labeled as “must-link” or “cannot-link” pairs with the group of content. The topic model is then embedded into successively smaller dimensions using a kernel method, until the clustering is stable with respect to both the behavioral and content domains.

  • Publication number: 20130030907
Abstract: A computerized method is provided for receiving data for a plurality of offers, wherein the data includes a number of impressions and a number of clicks associated with each offer in the plurality of offers. The method comprises determining a click-through rate for each offer in the plurality of offers using the received data for the plurality of offers and partitioning offers into a first offer group and a second offer group based on a value of performance data associated with each offer. A predetermined number of offers with highest values are assigned to the first offer group, and the rest of the offers are assigned to the second offer group. The method comprises serving offers from both groups, calculating a response rate and confidence level for the first group, calculating a response rate and confidence level for the second group and determining that the performance data of the first and second groups has diverged by a predetermined threshold.
