  • Publication number: 20240057947
Abstract: A patient monitor system includes a monitor mount, a first monitor, and a second monitor adapted to provide for data and power transfer between the monitors and the mount. The monitor mount may detachably secure the second monitor, and the second monitor can detachably secure (or otherwise physically interface with) the first monitor. The first monitor may be first mounted or otherwise detachably secured to the second monitor to form an expanded monitor system, and the monitor system may be then detectably secured to the monitor mount. Alternatively, the second monitor may be first mounted or otherwise detachably secured to the monitor mount, and the first monitor may be subsequently inserted into or otherwise mounted within a mounting area defined by the second monitor, the monitor mount, or both the second monitor and the monitor mount.

  • Publication number: 20230197267
Abstract: A method of distributing remote views in a point-to-point network includes: receiving first patient data corresponding to a first patient from a first physiological monitoring device via a first point-to-point connection; receiving second patient data corresponding to a second patient from a second physiological monitoring device via a second point-to-point connection; receiving a first medical data information base (MDIB) that includes the first patient data and a second MDIB that includes the second patient data, wherein the first MDIB comprises a plurality of first data objects and the second MDIB comprises a plurality of second data objects; selectively extracting at least one first data object from the first MDIB based on remote view configuration information; generating a first remote view MDIB comprising the extracted at least one first data object; and transmitting the first remote view MDIB to the second physiological monitoring device via the second point-to-point connection.

  • Publication number: 20140167518
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing noise in an electrical system includes a first isolation stage for a patient monitoring system that provides a first power transformation and a first isolation barrier to current flow. The patient monitoring system including a portable patient monitoring device, a charging apparatus that charges the portable patient monitoring device and a power supply that provides power to the charging apparatus and the first isolation stage is connected to the power supply. A second isolation stage is electrically connected between the first isolation stage and the charging apparatus. The second isolation stage provides a second power transformation and a second barrier to current flow, the second isolation stage reduces noise in the electrical system caused by stray currents.

  • Patent number: 8274532
Abstract: A system adaptively orients a display image on a device for presenting data acquired via one or more cables connected to a particular side of the device. The system includes a sensor for detecting orientation of the device and providing a device orientation representative signal indicating whether the device is in a first orientation or a second orientation substantially different to the first orientation. A display screen presents display images on the device. A display generator automatically generates a display image on the display screen oriented to be upright in the first and second orientations of the device, in response to the orientation representative signal. A command processor adaptively selects functions assigned to user selectable buttons positioned on both sides of the display screen of the device, in response to the orientation representative signal.

  • Patent number: 8155732
Abstract: An ECG system is used in ECG signal measurement of intra-cardiac ECG using a catheter. The system includes a lead signal switch for disconnecting an amplifier input terminal from a reference point and reconnecting the input terminal to a patient limb electrode. An ECG signal processor amplifies the difference of a chest lead signal electronically connected to a catheter, and a patient limb signal provided by the reconnecting of the input terminal.

  • Patent number: 7974090
Abstract: A cooling system cools an electrically rechargeable portable device accommodated in a docking station. The cooling system includes a docking station having a non-forced air active cooling unit and a housing. The cooling unit maintains a first heatsink surface at a temperature below an ambient temperature and a second heatsink surface at a temperature exceeding said first heatsink surface temperature. The housing accommodates an electrically re-chargeable portable device. The housing re-charges said portable device and seats said portable device in a position providing thermal contact between said docking station first heatsink surface and a heat spreader of said portable device while re-charging of said portable device.

  • Patent number: 7902810
Abstract: A cable detection system, includes a source of an input electrical AC signal for coupling to a first lead pin of a cable connector. A detector is coupled to a different second lead pin of the cable connector. The detector detects an electrical AC output signal derived by capacitive coupling of the input electrical AC signal occurring within a cable incorporating first and second leads corresponding to the first and second lead pins. The detector further enables a determination of whether the cable is connected to the cable connector in response to an amplitude dependent characteristic of the detected AC output signal.

  • Patent number: 7759908
Abstract: An electronic device identification system includes a rectifier bridge for providing an output DC voltage of fixed polarity from an input DC voltage of a corresponding or reverse polarity. The system further includes an identification component coupled across an input to the rectifier bridge. This enables identification of the identification component value via electrical detection circuitry applied to the input to the rectifier bridge.
