  • Patent number: 8840055
Abstract: A motorized roller apparatus for assisting in the selective rolling up of an at least one rolled object provides, in at least one embodiment, a chassis having an at least one rear rolling member and an at least one front rolling member. The rear rolling member is rotatably engaged proximal a rear end of the chassis and configured for being in rolling contact with the surface on which the object is positioned, enabling the apparatus to travel across the surface. The front rolling member is rotatably engaged proximal an opposing front end of the chassis, a distance above the surface, and configured for being selectively positioned in rolling contact with the rolled object. A motor is positioned within the chassis and interconnected with the rear rolling member. Additionally, an elongate handle portion is engaged with the chassis and configured for allowing a user to operate and steer the apparatus.
