    Abstract: A method and apparatus to provide an automatic alarm for a cell phone. A user of the cell phone can set a safe zone, which is a geographic area centered at a particular location with a circular boundary of a preset radius. If the cell phone is removed outside of this radius, the cell phone is presumably stolen, and thus an audible alarm on the cell phone can be triggered.
