  • Patent number: 9452480
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method and/or system may include a reciprocating saw system. The reciprocating saw system may include a housing and a reciprocating blade. The system may include an elongated member. When activated the elongated member may move from a first position to a second position such that a workpiece is positioned adjacent at least a portion of the housing and the reciprocating blade. The system may include a tension mechanism coupled to the elongated member. When the tension mechanism is activated the elongated member may move from the first position to the second position. In some embodiments, the system may include an engaging mechanism. The engaging mechanism, when activated, releases a first stop positioned distally on the housing. In some embodiments, when the first stop is released, when a tensile force is applied to the conveyor, the conveyor moves proximally moving the elongated member to the second position.
