  • Patent number: 4138218
Abstract: A high-pressure oxygen generator or compressor for filling oxygen diving tanks employing a pressure vessel closely containing a chlorate oxygen producing candle. The generator includes means for initiating the release of oxygen by the candle and for transferring oxygen from the canister with minimum volumetric losses.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 22, 1976
Date of Patent: February 6, 1979
    Inventor: Clifton M. McClure, III
  • Patent number: 4051846
Abstract: An emergency ascent system to be used by a diver in conjunction with a pressurized breathing system. Responsive to a valve operated by the diver, air pressure is applied to a first end of a cylinder, and a piston therein is moved from the first end to a second end, ejecting a counter buoyancy weight, and causing the applied air pressure to be valved to an air bag, which is inflated thereby to effect the ascent of the diver.
