  • Patent number: 10859698
Abstract: In an aspect, a processing apparatus receives detection signaling indicating a field incursion in a detection field of a LIDAR device mounted to a marine vessel and oriented to detect objects within a free space alongside the marine vessel. The processing apparatus applies plausibility testing to the field incursion, including determining whether parameters derived from the detection signaling are characteristic of a human body falling from the marine vessel through the detection field. The processing apparatus outputs signaling indicating a person overboard event to an alarm or control system onboard the marine vessel, in response to the field incursion passing the plausibility testing.

  • Patent number: 10176024
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an information processing method, apparatus and system. The method includes: one or more interface adapters, each interface adapter being connected to an outer application system, configured to achieve data interaction and function call between the multiple outer application systems; and a centralized rules engine connected to the one or more interface adapters and configured to use a preset rule to control the data interaction and function call between the multiple outer application systems connected to the interface adapters. Hence, a general interface and control rule is redesigned, application integration can be achieved more easily, extensibility is good, and independence of individual integrated applications is not affected.

  • Publication number: 20080010631
Abstract: According to methods, apparatuses, and computer program products described by way of non-limiting examples presented herein, a computer system operates as an intelligent node in a distributed network. In one or more embodiments, the installation and execution of a node operating computer program product (“node software”) on a computer system configures that computer system to operate as an intelligent node in a distributed network. The computer system may reside at the edge of the network and thus may include a number of physical world sensors and/or actuators that represent valuable but hard-to-reach data sources/sinks from the perspective of the network at large. The node software operates the computer system as an edge application server and enterprise service bus, intelligently processing data from sensors, actuators, and other edge systems and devices. Other applications, such as server-based data processing and storing, are also easily implemented via the node software.

  • Publication number: 20060015424
Abstract: To provide for management of enterprise environmental programs, the invention is a method, system, and computer program product that performs functions for emissions cataloging, assessing, analyzing, comparing, strategic planning, reporting and viewing. The invention further provides an integrated, modular mechanism with dynamic data promulgation for making strategic performance assessments and investment decisions. The invention uses a plurality of databases and datastores for storing, tracking, analyzing and comparing emissions information, emissions management activity information, market information, regulatory and voluntary compliance information, risk management information, as well as financial, legal, and production information, at an entity, facility, process, and other enterprise levels. The invention further includes a user interactive feature that provides a means for the user of the invention to enter data and receive an analyzed and compared data output display from a central client server.
