  • Patent number: 8763317
Abstract: A concrete roof panel for constructing a peaked concrete roof on a building has a first planar member coupled to a second planar member at an angle other than 180 degrees. The roof panel includes at least one rib member coupled to the inside surface of the roof panel. The roof panel includes a flattened attachment portion at either end thereof for connecting the roof panel to a side wall of a building.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 1, 2014
    Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.
    Inventor: Clinton C. Krell
  • Patent number: 8490363
Abstract: A modular concrete building is made of a plurality of precast concrete panels which may be assembled to provide a building. The panel sections include lower frame panels or support members, wall panels, floor panels, and flat roof panels. The building may be assembled by securing the floor panels to the support members, securing the wall panels to the floor panels, and securing the roof panels to the wall panels and to adjacent roof panels. The roof panels may have rigid insulation. The roof panels may have tapered rigid insulation or the modular building may be constructed with the roof panels in a tilted position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 2012
Date of Patent: July 23, 2013
    Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.
Inventors: John R. Nagy, Clinton C. Krell
  • Patent number: 8397467
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for coupling adjacent concrete panels increase the tolerance for setting. Connections members are placed in at least one of the adjacent concrete panels. In one embodiment a first connection member is placed in a first panel and a second connection member is placed in a second panel. A plate is placed over the first and second connection member. Fasteners are inserted through the plate and into each connection member to secure the adjacent panels together. In a second embodiment a rotatable connection member is placed in a first panel. The rotatable connection member includes a first rod rotatably coupled to a second rod. The second panel is placed on the first panel. The connection member is rotated from its first position to its second position and is secured to the second panel. The connection members may be cast in the panels during production.
