A magnet assembly is positioned to define a magnetic field, which permits separation of ion components based on their mass to charge ratio. An ion beam deflector is used, such as a pair of deflector plates, which can scan ion components across a detector. The ion beam deflector defines a deflection electric field across the magnetic field and across a direction of travel of the ions emitted from the ionization source.

The multiple cathodes allow for pressure measurements over wider ranges of pressure. A first cathode with a larger spacing may provide current based on Townsend discharge; whereas, a second cathode having a smaller spacing may provide current based on both Townsend discharge at higher pressures and on Paschen's Law discharge at still higher pressures. A feature on the second cathode may support Paschen's Law discharge. Large resistances between the cathodes and a return to power supply enable control of output profiles to extend the pressure ranges with accurate responses and avoid output minima. Pressure measurements may be made based on currents from respective cathodes dependent on the outputs of the cathodes through the wide pressure range of measurement.

A flexible material bushing abuts a threaded shaft of the stem and is received in a retention cavity formed in the handle. A flex limiter is threadably engaged on the threaded shaft of the stem and is manually adjustable along the length of the shaft. The limiter is utilized to limit the amount of tilting movement allowed to the handle under the influence of user weight applied at the handle when in use.

    Abstract: A hand tool for measuring, scoring and cutting construction materials is disclosed. The tool includes a housing having first and second opposed walls, with a cutting blade opening and a catch at one end thereof. A pivot is located at an opposite end of the housing. A securement having a nose and a tail is pivotably held at the housing between the walls and is deployable therefrom, the tail connected at the pivot. The nose of the securement includes a cutting blade positioning portion, a tape measure blade receiving slot and a latching structure that is releasably engageable with the catch of the housing when the securement is pivoted to an operative position. Structure defining the tape measure blade receiving slot preferably includes a lip releasably engagable at the anchoring gap feature found in the blades of most typical tape measures.

At least one resiliently stretchable cord attachment may be received through circumferential openings in the platform. A handle attachment having a stem may replace the locating member and is receivable through the opening at the elevated center of the platform.
