Abstract: An elongated panel, adapted to be flatly secured vertically to a wall surface, is provided with lateral flanges which slidably engage a vertically movable head. The head is provided with a pivotally connected head bar movable from a head locked idle position to a horizontal position indicating height by indicia on the panel when the head bar is disposed above the head of the person whose height is being measured. A plurality of markers, such as stickers or pins, are provided for individual adhesion or attachment at a selected one of a plurality of locations printed or scored on the panel in vertically spaced horizontal rows aligned with scale forming indicia on the panel to form a record of the height attained by individuals, as shown by the position of the head bar.

Abstract: A theft deterrent trailer hitch lock to obstruct removal of the socket portion of a trailer hitch from engagement with a trailer hitch ball mounted on a tow bar secured to a towing vehicle. The device includes a right angular-shaped base having a first flange underlying the hitch ball and bolted to the tow bar by bolts having an upstanding end portion projecting above the upper limit and on opposing sides of the trailer hitch socket portion. The upstanding flange of the angle base is pivotally connected with a top member vertically movable toward and away from the upper limit of the trailer hitch socket portion and having apertures therein receiving the upper ends of the base flange bolts. A lockable bar, slidably supported by the top member along its edge opposite the pivotal connection, is provided with an aperture mating with an aperture in the top member for receiving the bolt of a lock.

Abstract: An elongated sloping flange I-beam type panel, adapted to be vertically secured longitudinally to a wall surface, is provided with parallel tracks which slidably support a vertically movable head. A coextensive rack is secured to the panel web medially its width. The head is provided with a manually rotatable transverse shaft having coaxial pinions engageable with the rack for vertical adjustment of the head with respect to the scale or locking the head piece in a selected location. The head is provided with a depending head bar movable to a horizontal position for alignment with height measuring indicia on the panel when the head bar is disposed above the head of the person whose height is being measured. A plurality of pins are provided for insertion into a selected one of a plurality of apertures formed in the web in vertically spaced horizontal rows to form a permanent record of the height attained as shown by the position of the head bar.
