    Abstract: A motorized extension pole for opening and closing a skylight. The extension pole includes an elongated member having first and second telescoping sections for adjusting the overall effective length of the elongated member. A manipulating element is mounted at one end of the elongated member. A power source is located at the opposite end within a handle. The manipulating member cooperates with a conventional window operator. The power source is operated by a switch selectively actuated to rotate the elongated member and manipulating member in a direction for either opening or closing the skylight. A spindle grip is mounted about the elongated member for steadying the pole with both hands.
