    Abstract: A blast hole drill bit is disclosed for forming longitudinally extending grooves in already drilled blast holes, having a body with a forward face and a rearwardly extending pilot diameter. One or more radially extending wings are located at the rearmost part of the pilot diameter and are V-shaped when viewed in plan. Wear resistant compacts form a part of the wings and have a V-shaped cutting edge.
