  • Publication number: 20130192026
Abstract: A door escape includes a hinge member securable to a door pivotably movable between an open position and a closed position relative to an enclosure. A first securing device secures the hinge member to the door. The first securing device is manually removable from the hinge member from exterior of the enclosure, permitting removal of the door from the enclosure. A second securing device secures the hinge member to the door. The second securing device is manually removable from the hinge member from interior of the enclosure, permitting removal of the door from the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20130180417
Abstract: A baler having a bale chamber comprising chamber doors pivotably connected to a fixed frame part. Upon obtaining at least one crop parameter, a door angle value between two side sections of a door is selected; and the position of one of the side sections with respect to the other one is adapted in accordance with the selected door angle value. A corresponding baler and a control system for such baler are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20130180418
Abstract: A baler for manufacturing bales of harvested crop material comprises a bale chamber comprising a first part where a plunger can make a reciprocating movement, and a second part which cannot be reached by the reciprocating plunger. The second part has a varying cross section along the length direction of the bale chamber, whereby the rate of change of the cross sections is different at multiple positions along the length direction of the second part of the bale chamber.

  • Publication number: 20130167823
Abstract: A fluid heating system for a work vehicle includes a pressurized fluid circuit having a pump for providing pressurized fluid to the fluid circuit. A control module for controlling a first control device is in fluid communication with the fluid circuit, the first control device operable between a first position and a second position. The first position of the first control device permits a load sense pressure to be applied through the first control device, thereby preventing pressurized fluid from the pump flowing to a pressure return tank for heating the pressurized fluid. The second position of the first control device prevents the load sense pressure from being applied through the first control device, thereby permitting pressurized fluid from the pump flowing to a pressure return tank and resulting in heating of pressurized fluid of the fluid circuit.

  • Publication number: 20130168073
Abstract: A fluid heating system for a work vehicle including a pressurized fluid circuit, a pump, and a fan for cooling fluid of the fluid circuit. Pressurized fluid of the fluid circuit provided to the fan results in fan operation. A speed of the fan corresponds to a flow rate of pressurized fluid of the fluid circuit provided to the fan. A control device is in fluid communication with the fluid circuit, the control device operable between a first position and a second position. The first position of the control device results in substantially all of the fluid of the fluid circuit being provided to the fan. The second position of the control device results in at least a portion of the fluid of the fluid circuit bypassing the fan, thereby reducing the speed of the fan while increasing a pressure magnitude and increasing a temperature of the fluid system.

  • Publication number: 20130145754
Abstract: A control system is provided to control the rate of pressure rise in a hydraulic lift and flotation system. When a hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic lift and flotation system is to be adjusted, the pressure in the hydraulic lift and flotation system has to be increased to a predetermined pressure controlled by a relief valve before the hydraulic cylinder can be operated. The unload valve of the hydraulic lift and flotation system can be closed in a controlled or regulated manner in order to control the rate at which pressure rises in the hydraulic lift and flotation system.

  • Publication number: 20130146317
Abstract: A tool system is provided for resisting abrasive wear of a ground-engaging tool of an agricultural implement during a crop production procedure. The tool system may include a tool for engaging an agricultural field while performing crop production procedure and that defines a main segment and a cutting segment having a working edge covered by a nanostructure coating. The cutting segment may include multiple wear zones with multiple working edges, respectively, covered by nanostructure coatings which may have different thicknesses.

  • Publication number: 20130112092
Abstract: A square baler has a baling chamber with slots in the top of the baling chamber for receiving twines to tie bales, and a star wheel sensor having a housing mounted on the exterior of the baling chamber and a star wheel in the housing and passing through one of the slots to contact the crop material of the bale being formed in the baling chamber. A deflector is mounted on the baling chamber to extend through the same slot as the star wheel sensor. The deflector has a region inclined relative to the slot to deflect the twine away from the star wheel.

  • Publication number: 20130087353
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an innovative arrangement to control the height of ground engaging tools located on agricultural implements via gauge wheel assemblies, particularly for supporting and adjusting the height of winged extensions of the implement frame. The gauge wheel assemblies may provide an adjustment assembly in the form of a screw jack, which can be coupled to a support bracket that is attached to the implement frame and also coupled to a support tube that is coupled to a gauge wheel via pivot assembly and a bracket. The bracket and support tube may be coupled at discrete positions according to the height adjustment of the screw jack via pins and holes in the bracket and tube. When coupled, the pins and holes of the support bracket and tube may reduce the load of the winged extensions on the screw jack mechanism.
