  • Patent number: 11938017
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods to improve both the reliability of soft tissue repair procedures and the speed at which the procedures are completed are provided. The devices and systems include one or more tissue augmentation constructs, which include constructs that are configured to increase a footprint across which suture applied force to tissue when the suture is tied down onto the tissue. The tissue augmentation constructs can be quickly and easily associated with the repair suture, and can be useful in many different tissue repair procedures that are disclosed in the application. Tissue augmentation constructs can include various blocks and scaffolds, among other formations. The present disclosure includes, among other disclosures, methods for using tissue augmentation scaffolds, including folding scaffolds, and descriptions and methods associated with extra-wide tissue augmentation blocks.

  • Patent number: 10166019
Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided for surgical and interventional planning, support, post-operative follow-up, and functional recovery tracking. In general, data related to retraction of tissue can be gathered during performance of a surgical procedure. In one embodiment, the data can be used during performance of the surgical procedure, e.g., to determine whether a length of time a tissue is retracted using a retractor reaches a predetermined threshold amount of time, an amount of tissue retraction reaches a predetermined amount of tissue, and an amount of pressure being placed on tissue and/or nerves as a result of retraction reaches a predetermined amount of pressure, and/or the data can be used after performance of the surgical procedure, e.g., in determining a correlation between the data and patient pain level data.

  • Patent number: 9226764
Abstract: Surgical curettes or rakes with cutting edges conform or deflect to allow for contouring that follows the bony anatomy. The cutting tips can be pre-sterile, disposable and made from flexible materials including metals and polymers. The disposable tips ensure that a sharp cutting edge is exposed to the endplate for each procedure. The tips can also be adjusted to change the size of the cutting surface and window for retaining shaved disc material. The tips can pivot to provide for a self adjusting angle that allows the cutting edge to have full contact with the endplate at various angles like the pivot on a disposable razor blade.
