Abstract: A data access control system is disclosed. The data access control system has a data access control module, comprising computer-executable code stored in non-volatile memory, a processor, a user device, and a peer-to-peer device that stores a user data source. The data access control module, the processor, the user device, and the peer-to-peer device are configured to pair the user device with the peer-to-peer device, use the user device to send an activation command to the peer-to-peer device, store an activation data of the peer-to-peer device on a device ledger, use the user device to send a data command to the peer-to-peer device, and use the peer-to-peer device to send a portion of the user data source to a second device based on the data command. Based on the activation data, the peer-to-peer device rejects commands from all other devices other than the user device.
