Abstract: Cleaning implement for cleaning objects such as dishes, glassware, utensils, appliances, and other objects as well as methods for manufacture and use thereof. A cleaning implement can include a first support structure having a proximate end and a distal end, a first cleaning surface coupled to a first side of the first support structure. The cleaning implement can include a second cleaning surface coupled to a second side of the first support structure, the first side of the first support structure being opposite to the second side of the first support structure. The cleaning implement can include a second support structure having a proximate end and a distal end, the proximate end of the second support structure being pivotally connected to the proximate end of the first support structure. The cleaning implement can include a third cleaning surface coupled to a side of the second support structure.

Abstract: The present invention provides devices to assist a subject in lifting and associated methods. In one aspect for example, a lift assist device can include a harness operable to be secured about or to a torso of a user, and at least one cord having a first end operably coupled to the harness and a second end operably coupleable to a forelimb of the user. Additionally, at least one of the harness and the at least one cord are substantially elastic, and where the first and second ends of the at least one cord are positioned to assist the user in lifting an object. In one aspect, the at least one cord is substantially elastic and the harness is substantially inelastic.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for decreasing breath condensation on a facial garment or covering. In one aspect, for example, a system for creating a breathing space between a facial covering and a subject's mouth and nose can include a facial covering operable to at least partially encircle at least a portion of a subject's head and/or neck and a facial spacer operable to be removably positioned between the facial covering and the subject adjacent the subject's mouth and nose. The facial spacer is free to move relative to the facial covering when the facial covering is in position adjacent the subject's mouth and nose.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for manually handling large quantities of debris and placing such debris into containers. The method and apparatus is directed to a rake panel utilized in combination with a rake. The rake panel includes a panel and an open sleeve configured to removably attach with a rake via an interference fit. In one embodiment, the open sleeve removably attaches to a rake shaft, and in another embodiment, the open sleeve removably attaches to a rake head. The rake panel therefore is easily attachable and removable to and from a rake and, therefore, easily accessible with the rake. The rake panel also simplifies handling debris by simply sandwiching large quantities of debris between the rake panel and a rake head, making for easier cleanup.
