  • Publication number: 20200295555
Abstract: The process and apparatus for tension stringing a conductor through above-ground supports uses a length of rope affixed to the conductor wound on the tensioning machine and pulled by the puller machine. Each of the first and second stringing apparatuses includes an onboard control system which controls each of the first and second stringing apparatuses in pulling mode or in tensioning mode. Each of the first and second stringing apparatuses includes a motor/regenerative brake or other means of inducing tension into the conductor. Each of the machines includes a wireless transceiver which is hard-wired to said onboard control systems. A first operator resides on the puller machine and selects the machine as a puller machine operating in pulling mode using an onboard control system. An observer resides on the tensioner and selects the second machine to be the tensioner.

  • Patent number: 10053612
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a liquid agent that mitigates shrinkage of cement, particularly cement used in a hydrocarbon-producing well. The anti-shrinkage agent includes a slow-setting calcium aluminate cement as well as gypsum and may exhibit shelf-life stability, physical stability, or both. The present disclosure further relates to methods of cementing a hydrocarbon-producing well using the anti-shrinkage agent and to cements containing the anti-shrinkage agent.

  • Patent number: 9920235
Abstract: Disclosed herein are cement compositions and methods of using set-delayed cement compositions in subterranean formations. In one embodiment, a method of cementing in a subterranean formation is described. The method may comprise providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising water, pumice, hydrated lime, and a set retarder; activating the set-delayed cement composition with a liquid additive to produce an activated cement composition, wherein the liquid additive comprises a monovalent salt, a polyphosphate, a dispersant, and water; and allowing the activated cement composition to set.
