  • Patent number: 12396115
Abstract: A junction box assembly and an upper case is provided. The upper case includes a peripheral wall and an interior wall having an outer wall and an inner wall. The outer wall is dimensioned to define a u-shaped structure. The inner wall is dimensioned to define a closed loop. The inner wall is disposed within and spaced apart from the outer wall. The upper case further includes a rib disposed on an outer surface of an inner back wall. The rib extends longitudinally along the inner back wall and is dimensioned to contact an inner surface of a top cover of the junction box assembly so as to prevent water from entering the upper case.

  • Patent number: 12107404
Abstract: An ancillary box is configured to be mounted to a junction box assembly. The ancillary box is configured to provide housing for an electrical component (e.g., switch assembly). The ancillary box includes a first housing having a first top wall, a first back wall, a pair of first side walls, and a first bottom wall. The first top wall, the first back wall, the pair of first side walls, and the first bottom wall are connected to each other to define an open front. The ancillary box further includes an engagement feature that is disposed on a top surface of the first top wall and centered between the pair of first side walls.

  • Publication number: 20240308450
Abstract: A junction box assembly includes an upper case and a lower case. The upper case includes an outer wall and an inner wall disposed within and spaced apart from an inner surface of the outer wall so as to define a first space and a second space. The upper case further includes a rib disposed between the outer wall and the inner wall. The rib preventing the outer wall from warping. In one aspect, the lower case includes a bottom wall and the rib is spaced apart from the bottom wall to define a slot, and an opening is disposed in the bottom wall and is in fluid communication with the slot so as to allow for water to drain to a terminal support portion of the lower case.

  • Publication number: 20230413444
Abstract: A circuit board assembly includes a circuit board having a pair of slots spaced apart from each other and a terminal opening disposed between the pair of slots; and a tuning fork. The tuning fork includes a pair of terminals; a pair of shoulders, the pair of terminals attached to the pair of shoulders, each of the pair of shoulders extending orthogonal from a bottom of the pair of terminals; and a pair of supports extending upwardly from a corresponding one of the pair of shoulders, the pair of terminals disposed between the pair of support portions, the pair of support portions configured to engage a corresponding one of the pair of slots so as to place the pair of terminals within the terminal opening of the circuit board.
