  • Patent number: 11959427
Abstract: An apparatus is provided to test valves. The apparatus includes an actuation mechanism having an actuator that seals a valve of a combustion chamber of an engine. The apparatus further includes a flow control device that controls a flow of a pressurized fluid to the combustion chamber. The apparatus further includes a plurality of sensors having a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is disposed in an inlet port of the combustion chamber to detect a first flow rate of the pressurized fluid in the inlet port. The second sensor is disposed in an exhaust port of the combustion chamber to detect a second flow rate of the pressurized fluid in the exhaust port. The apparatus further includes a notification device configured to generate an alert based on the detected first flow rate and the detected second flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20220395940
Abstract: An apparatus and method for pressing articles on components of a vehicle assembly is provided. The apparatus includes a support fixture, a driving mechanism coupled to the support fixture, and a sensor coupled to the support fixture. The apparatus detects a component that includes a receiving section and controls the sensor to determine a height of the receiving section with respect to a datum of the component, based on the detection. The apparatus computes an offset distance with respect to the determined height and actuates the driving mechanism based on the offset distance. Based on the actuation, the driving mechanism moves an actuator to a first position in proximity of the receiving section. The driving mechanism further actuates to displace the actuator from the first position to a second position, which causes the actuator to apply a force on an article, causing the article to mate with the receiving section.
