  • Patent number: 12367350
Abstract: An artificial intelligence (AI) platform to support random action replay for natural language (NL) learning. A NL conversation is subject to exploration to train a neural network. One or more tuples are leveraged for the training, with each tuple representing an input action, a vector, an output action, and a reward value. An action is sampled from the vector, with the sampling configured to assess a corresponding first gradient. The first gradient is applied to selectively adjust the neural network. As NL input is received and applied to the selectively adjusted neural network, an output corresponding to the NL input is identified and a corresponding action is subject to be executed.

  • Patent number: 12369175
Abstract: This specification provides a resource determining method and an apparatus, to optimize sidelink transmission performance. In this specification, a first communication apparatus may receive preferred resource information and/or non-preferred resource information, determine a transmission resource based on received resource information and a type of the first communication apparatus, and perform sidelink transmission by using the transmission resource. First resource information can indicate a high-interference or high-usage resource and/or a low-interference or low-usage resource. The first communication apparatus can select, based on the type of the first communication apparatus, a resource with relatively low interference to perform sidelink transmission. This improves sidelink transmission performance.

  • Patent number: 12369234
Abstract: A load control device for controlling the power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load includes a thyristor, a gate coupling circuit for conducting a gate current through a gate of the thyristor, and a control circuit for controlling the gate coupling circuit to conduct the gate current through a first current path to render the thyristor conductive at a firing time during a half cycle. The gate coupling circuit is able to conduct the gate current through the first current path again after the firing time, but the gate current is not able to be conducted through the gate from a transition time before the end of the half-cycle until approximately the end of the half-cycle. The load current is able to be conducted through a second current path to the electrical load after the transition time until approximately the end of the half-cycle.

  • Patent number: 12365988
Abstract: Vapor deposition methods for depositing transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) films, such as rhenium sulfide thin films, are provided. In some embodiments TMDC thin films are deposited using a deposition cycle in which a substrate in a reaction space is alternately and sequentially contacted with a vapor phase transition metal precursor, such as a transition metal halide, a reactant comprising a reducing agent, such as NH3 and a chalcogenide precursor. In some embodiments rhenium sulfide thin films are deposited using a vapor phase rhenium halide precursor, a reducing agent and a sulfur precursor. The deposited TMDC films can be etched by chemical vapor etching using an oxidant such as O2 as the etching reactant and an inert gas such as N2 to remove excess etching reactant. The TMDC thin films may find use, for example, as 2D materials.
