Patent number: 10730573Abstract: A bicycle seat attachment device for attaching a bicycle seat to a bicycle seat post is disclosed having a pin and a receiver. The pin has an upper pin and a lower pin that are dimensioned and configured to receive rails of the bicycle seat. The receiver is disposed on the bicycle seat post. The lower pin has a depending male portion that is dimensioned and configured to a female central opening of a receiver. The female central opening extends between a top surface and a bottom surface of the receiver. The depending male portion rotates within the female central opening between a restricted position and a release position. In the restricted position, the male portion locks the bicycle seat to the receiver and when the male portion is in a release position, the bicycle seat is releasable from the receiver.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2018Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Inventors: Jonathan Blyer, Colin Arthur Tanner

Patent number: 10514104Abstract: A technique enables mechanical control of a directional valve. The technique may utilize a system comprising a directional valve which is mechanically actuatable between a plurality of flow positions. The directional valve is mechanically coupled with an indexer mechanism. The indexer mechanism may be shifted to a plurality of desired indexer positions defined by a cam track. As the indexer mechanism is shifted between indexer positions, the mechanical link between the indexer mechanism and the directional valve mechanically shifts the directional valve to selected flow positions of the plurality of flow positions.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2016Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONInventors: Edgar Jose Montiel, Abbigail Ullrich, Mark Smith, Michael Fuad, Colin Arthur Longfield

Patent number: 10392900Abstract: A technique facilitates mechanical operation of components, e.g. valves, without utilizing electronics at the components or control lines routed to the components. An actuation control system is fully mechanical in the sense that it is constructed to mechanically shift to different control positions via pressure input, such as pressure input supplied along a wellbore annulus. The actuation control system utilizes a spool valve coupled with a pilot control circuit which establishes a reference pressure that can be used in shifting the spool valve to different operational positions.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2015Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONInventors: Gary Rytlewski, Colin Arthur Longfield, James G. Filas, Edgar Montiel

Patent number: 9735438Abstract: A humidifier for transferring water vapour from a first gas stream to a second gas stream in a fuel cell system comprises a stack of thin plates having planar sealing surfaces at their edges, along which they are sealed together. A water permeable membranes is provided between each pair of plates in the stack. Each plate defines a gas flow passage along its top and bottom surfaces, with an inlet and outlet defined along edges of the plate, and a flow field extending between the inlet and outlet openings. Inlet and outlet passages connect the inlet and outlet openings to the flow field, and the planar sealing surfaces on both sides of the plate include bridging portions which extend across the inlet and outlet passages. Support structures such as ribs are provided throughout the flow field and the inlet and outlet passages to support the membrane and diffusion medium layer(s).Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 15, 2017Assignee: Dana Canada CorporationInventors: Doug Vanderwees, Colin Arthur Shore

Patent number: 7945661Abstract: A method for real time monitoring of at least one TCP flow involves monitoring TCP packets flowing past a particular point in a TCP network. A flow trace including at least source and destination addresses for each TCP packet is determined and a packet record for each monitored TCP packet within a determined flow trace is created. Each of the packet records includes at least a transmitted order number and an actual received sequence number, from which an expected received sequence number for each packet record is determined and stored in the packet record. The difference between the expected received sequence number for each packet record and the expected received sequence number for the previous packet record is used to thereby determine by how much a particular packet was moved out of sequence.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2006Date of Patent: May 17, 2011Assignee: JDS Uniphase CorporationInventors: Andrew Lehane, Martin Curran-Gray, Colin Arthur, Demessie Girma
