Abstract: The present invention provides a lighting system adapted to provide lighting for an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielded environment. The lighting system comprises a plurality of lighting fixtures each adapted to receive a light emitting diode (LED) light source, and a plurality of current limiting circuits each adapted to limit electrical current provided to power one or more of the LED light sources. The electrical current is provided from a direct current source external to the EMI shielded environment and filtered to minimise electromagnetic interference introduced into the EMI shielded environment.
