Patent number: 11128589Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems to provide a platform to facilitate implementation of an interface as a computerized tool, among other things, and, more specifically, to a computing and data platform that implements logic to facilitate moderation of electronic messages, electronic postings, content, etc., via implementation of a moderator application configured to, for example, perform an action automatically. In some examples, a method may include activating at least a portion of a moderator application, receiving a user input signal configured to cause presentation of an electronic message at a user interface as a computerized tool, detecting subsets of values of a user input signal, assigning one or more states to an electronic message, and causing execution of instructions to perform a moderated action automatically responsive to transitioning an electronic message from a first state to a second state.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2020Date of Patent: September 21, 2021Assignee: Khoros, LLCInventors: David Evans, Vivekanand Venkatesh Kini, Colin Cooper, Vigneshwaran Dharmalingam, Tanmay Sinha

Publication number: 20210233611Abstract: The present invention relates to the classification of prostate cancers using samples from patients. Classification is achieved using a novel analysis method that uses less computing power than methods of the prior art. In particular, the invention provides new methods for classifying cancers to make a determination of risk of cancer progression (for example in early cancer), to identify patient populations that may be susceptible to particular treatments and to present opportunities (for example to provide tailored treatment regimens), or to identify patient populations that do not require treatment. The methods of the invention may include identifying potentially aggressive cancers to determine which cancers are or will become aggressive (and hence require treatment) and which will remain indolent (and will therefore not require treatment). The present invention is therefore useful to identify a patient's prognosis and identify those with good or poor prognoses.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2019Publication date: July 29, 2021Inventors: Daniel Simon Brewer, Bogdan-Alexandru Luca, Vincent Moulton, Colin Cooper

Publication number: 20150329911Abstract: This invention relates to microRNA biomarkers useful in the diagnosis and prognosis of prostate cancer. The biomarkers are also useful for the monitoring and/or treatment of prostate cancer.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2013Publication date: November 19, 2015Inventors: Graham John SPEIGHT, Andrew James ROGERS, Colin COOPER

Publication number: 20080113401Abstract: Assays for detecting potentially toxicdanalytes utilize a preparation of eukaryotic or prokaryotic cells which have signal-generating metabolic activity. The sensitivity of such assays is significantly improved by the employment of a particulate solid-phase adsorbent e.g. silica gel, which can be preliminarily mixed either with the suspected toxic analyte or with the cellular reagent. It is found that the presence of either the adsorbent-analyte combination or the adsorbent-cellular reagent combination results in an amplification of the decrease of the intensity of the generated signal, thereby improving the detection capability of the assay, particularly with respect to low concentrations of toxicants.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2007Publication date: May 15, 2008Applicant: STRATEGIC DIAGNOSTICS INC.Inventors: Colin Cooper, Jay Lewington, Edman Tsang, Robbie Burch

Patent number: 7214505Abstract: Cell-based reagents and methods of using the reagents for detecting analytes are provided. The adsorbing of cells with signal-generating metabolic activity to solid supports has been found to improve the sensitivity of known cell based assays. Signal-generating cells adsorbed to a solid support are introduced to a test agent, and the measured decrease in metabolic signal provides a measure of the toxicity of the test agent.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2000Date of Patent: May 8, 2007Assignee: Strategic Diagnostics Inc.Inventors: Colin Cooper, Edman Tsang, Robbie Burch, Jay Lewington
