Publication number: 20240100396Abstract: A system and method for improving completion of an exercise is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method of a control system to improve compliance with an exercise plan for an exercise machine includes receiving one or more load measurements from one or more load cells of the exercise machine. The method also includes comparing the one or more load measurements to one or more target thresholds, and determining whether the one or more load measurements exceed the one or more target thresholds. Responsive to determining that the one or more load measurements exceed the one or more target thresholds, the method also includes causing a user interface to present an indication that the one or more target thresholds have been exceeded and an exercise is complete, wherein the exercise is included in the exercise plan.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Rehab2Fit Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Colin James Smith, Michael Bissonnette, Steven Mason, James D. Patent number: 8272835Abstract: A gas turbine engine comprising of a turbine blade, an adjustable casing, and a clearance control arrangement. The clearance control arrangement further comprises an actuator operatively connected to a piston within a cylinder wherein the piston divides the cylinder by a sealing engagement with a wall of the cylinder into a first volume and a second volume. The first volume is operatively connected to a first piezo electric pump that increases a pressure in the first volume, and the second volume is operatively connected to a second piezo electric pump that increases a second pressure in the second volume, such that the relative displacement of the piston is determined by a pressure balance between the first and second pressure.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2009Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Assignee: Rolls-Royce PLCInventor: Colin D. Publication number: 20100003125Abstract: With regard to gas turbine engines it is necessary to maintain clearance between a rotating blade assembly and a casing to maintain efficiency. Thermal expansion and other factors are transients mean it is advantageous to provide active adjustment. By utilisation of piezo electric pumps 51, 52 operable at relatively high predetermined temperatures with a piston 54 and a cylinder 53 to cause displacement of an actuator 58 rapid adjustment is achieved. The cylinder 53 is divided into a first volume 55 and a second volume 56 so that each piezo electric pump 51, 52 can pressurise one volume 55, 56. A pressure balance is created across the piston 54 in order to position the associated actuator 58. A vent valve 67 can be used to effectively suspend the pressure balance across the piston 54 between the volumes 55, 56 for rapid displacement.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 28, 2009Publication date: January 7, 2010Applicant: ROLLS-ROYCE PLCInventor: Colin D. Patent number: 5890052Abstract: A portable wireless telephone structure in which a foldable wallet carries a telephone in addition to having a pocket to house paper currency. The telephone is exposed for use with the wallet in open condition and is housed with the wallet in closed condition. The telephone has a communication mode to a user monetary function to permit telephonic transfer of monetary units. Thus, the telephone may eliminate need for carrying credit or bank cards in the wallet except for the telephone use with a "smart" card for telephonic transfer of monetary amounts to the "smart" card for transaction purposes.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 1996Date of Patent: March 30, 1999Assignee: Northern Telecom LimitedInventors: Clifford D. Patent number: 5483806Abstract: A refrigeration system using air as the refrigerant comprises a compressor which compresses air to 84 bar g. The compressed air is cooled first by cooling water and then by returning air in a plate-fin heat exchanger before being expanded to 59 bar g in an expander. The expanded air at -61.degree. C. is passed through indirect cooling coils in a cold store which it leaves at -45.degree. C. This air is then passed through the plate-fin heat exchanger before being recycled to the compressor. The refrigeration delivered is about 1.05 kw refrigeration/kw power input.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 1995Date of Patent: January 16, 1996Inventors: Jeremy P. Miller, Colin D. Smith, Rodney J. Patent number: 5421740Abstract: Electronic circuit pack and mounting frame combination in which a mating connector joined to conductors coming in for connection to the circuit pack, is held within a connector holder for protection and connection purposes. Straight line action of the connector holder is ensured to ensure proper alignment of the mating connector with the circuit pack connector. It is preferable for the connector holder to be permanently attached to the frame to support the weight of the holder and minimize strain upon the incoming conductors.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1993Date of Patent: June 6, 1995Assignee: Northern Telecom LimitedInventors: Robert C. Patent number: 5036673Abstract: A freezer (1) which comprises a drum (2) is characterized in that a cylinder (12) is disposed in said drum (2), and a fan (14) is provided for circulating cryogen through the space (20) between the outer surface of the cylinder (12) and the inner surface of the drum (2). The outer surface of the drum (2) is provided with a plurality of grooves (4) of parabolic cross-section. In use, droplets (23) of liquid egg are dropped on to the grooves (4) where they freeze individually. The frozen particles fall away from the drum as they approach the lowermost point of travel of the drum (2) and form an attractive granular product.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 1989Date of Patent: August 6, 1991Assignee: Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: Jeremy P. Miller, Colin D. Smith

Patent number: 4391585Abstract: A method of operating a continuous ceramic kiln having a decarbonization zone characterized in that oxygen or oxygen enriched air is added to the decarbonization zone to maintain the average oxygen concentration in the decarbonization zone at or about a predetermined level. The predetermined level need only be adjusted for different throughputs and need not be adjusted for moderate changes in the amount of organic matter in the clay.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1981Date of Patent: July 5, 1983Assignee: Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: Eric K.
