Abstract: A cosmetic applicator comprising a handle having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the handle comprises a drive; an applicator head operatively associated with the drive to move at least part of the applicator head relative to the handle; and a control surface disposed at the proximal end of the handle and operatively associated with the drive. The control surface may be rotatable about a control surface axis through a plurality of positions and the control surface axis may be aligned with the longitudinal axis of the handle. The control surface may be moveable through a plurality of positions. The applicator may comprise an additional control surface, such as a second control surface or temporary control surface, which may be operated independently or in combination with the first control surface.

The article includes front and back ear panels that are joined at opposing side seams. The side seam can include an initiation region, which can be bonded or unbonded, and a propagation region. The initiation region and the propagation region have a resistance to user-applied opening forces. The resistance at the initiation region is less than that of the propagation region. The seam can further include additional regions. The article can include a tab member that can be engaged by the user to facilitate opening of the seam.

Abstract: A three seal sachet and method of manufacturing the sachet. The sachet includes a film having first and second longitudinal sheet edges and opposed first and second sheet faces. The film is folded to form opposed first and second sachet faces where the film is sealed to itself along marginal portions of the first and second longitudinal sheet edges on the first sheet face thereby forming a tube with a longitudinal seal on the second sachet face. First and second transverse seals bond the film along the marginal portions of the first and second transverse edges of the sheet, thereby closing the tube at each end. The sachet also includes a dispensing device disposed on the first or second face. The disposed device includes a flange which is inserted into the first sachet face and secures the device to the sachet and a dispensing orifice enabling product to be dispensed from the sachet.
