Patent number: 10682582Abstract: A constructional toy comprising a plurality of elements which can be assembled together to form a variety of three dimensional structures. The elements include a triangular prism shaped brick element comprising a plurality of walls. The walls define a male mating side having a male engagement feature which extends from the brick. The walls also define a female mating side which defines a cavity configured for receiving an engagement feature of the same configuration as provided on the male mating side.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2017Date of Patent: June 16, 2020Assignee: CHISWICK INNOVATIONS LIMITEDInventors: Colin Duncan Simonds, James Campbell Duncan Simonds

Patent number: 7470901Abstract: A charged particle (e.g. photoelectron) spectrometer is operable in a first mode to produce an energy spectrum relating to the composition of a sample being analysed, and in a second mode to produce a charged particle image of the surface of the sample being analysed. A detector is used to detect charged particles produced in both modes of operation. A method of operation of the spectrometer includes the step of selecting which of said first and second modes to use and the detector being operated accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2003Date of Patent: December 30, 2008Assignee: Kratos Analytical LimitedInventors: Simon Charles Page, Colin Duncan Park, Christopher Michael Hopper

Patent number: 6511073Abstract: A game or toy comprises a plurality of rectangular elements each having a substantially square upper face and a substantially square lower face interconnected by four rectangular side faces. The upper face of each element has an alphanumeric character printed on it or molded onto or into it. The side faces of each element are dimensioned so that the elements are free-standing on any side face. Two adjacent side faces of each element have projecting half star shaped connectors means formed on them, while the other two adjacent side faces have complementary grooves shaped to receive and retain the retain the projecting connectors of another such element, so that the elements can be joined together side face to side face in two mutually perpendicular direction to form a two dimensional crossword or number game. Auxiliary connecting elements are provided for connecting the rectangular elements together with their upper faces at right angles, so that the game can be played in three dimensions.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2001Date of Patent: January 28, 2003Inventor: Colin Duncan Simonds

The side faces of each element are dimensioned so that the elements are free-standing on any side face. Two adjacent side faces of each element have projecting half star shaped connectors means formed on them, while the other two adjacent side faces have complementary grooves shaped to receive and retrain the projecting connectors of another such element, so that the elements can be joined together side face to side face in two mutually perpendicular directions to form a two dimensional crossword or number game. Auxiliary connecting elements are provided for connecting the rectangular elements together with their upper faces at right angles, so that the game can be played in three dimensions.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2001Publication date: May 16, 2002Inventor: Colin Duncan Simonds

Patent number: 6150617Abstract: An agricultural vehicle is provided with means for continuously sensing the weight of an accumulated payload and a GPS navigation system (18). Weight and positional information, and optionally also sensed vehicle speed, are analysed in an analysis/display unit (14) and a map generated of e.g. weight/hectare. The principal application is an agricultural trailer with payload weight sensors (15), towed by a tractor with GPS and analysis systems. A map of yield of e.g. a root crop may be generated as the crop is harvested and continuously deposited into the trailer as it moves along.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 1999Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: AGCO LimitedInventors: Peter John Hart, David Forbes Smith, Benjamin Simon Blackmore, Richard John Godwin, Paul Nicholas Wheeler, Colin Duncan Watt

Patent number: 5934489Abstract: A rack for simultaneously displaying a multiplicity of different items for retail sale is disclosed. The rack is mounted on a vertical surface and is integrally formed from bent wire stock. The rack has a primary support of interconnected segments symmetrically disposed about a centerline in a stepped or zig-zag pattern to form a "V" shape. Stiffening elements made of wire stock are welded to the primary support between segments parallel to the vertical surface on opposite sides of the rack centerline. Display items are hung from segments disposed perpendicularly to the vertical surface. "Z" shaped segments engage mounting holes in the vertical surface, thereby attaching the rack to the surface. A finger projects from the primary support along the rack centerline, providing an additional item support segment.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1997Date of Patent: August 10, 1999Assignee: DNZ Limited PartnershipInventors: David B.
